A month ago players were 6 stacking constantly. You could see it in the Fireteam app. People were constantly posting. 2.0kd or Better 6 stack. Pubstomp. So these players were going in Crucible and pubstomping a lot of solo players. Bungies horrible lobby balancing was also a contributing factor. The players that did this (and it was a lot of players) now have inflated KDs and Elos. 6 stacking makes Crucible a cake walk. Now that SBMM has been introduced, those same players are going against actual skilled players that don't have an inflated Kd. Those players that 6 stacked a month ago aren't really 2.0kd players. They developed a false sense of skill.

1 ReplyI got nothing to worry about. There are no other players on my skill level so it doesn't matter to me. Because no one in the world is as utter crap as I am. I am the absolute worst. And I hold my undisputed negative kd with pride as a walking thumb less turnip.
-
I’ve never seen players whine so much about others players forming teams. As if that isn’t pvp 101 🤦 Meanwhile, complainers who don’t practice or even attempt teamwork think sbmm or lobby balancing will solve their problems. Sbmm also encourages stacking, fyi
-
3 RepliesI have said this for a very long time .. Finally the Karma bus just hit them real hard and this is why SBMM is needed .. The toxic sweats used to pubstomp weaker players in organised stacks just to stat pad , boost their KD doing that in other games is bannable. Not only did they use stacks to boost KD , they used tools , devices etc which gave them a unfair advantage.. So the ones we hear screaming the loudest about the recent crucible changes are the same ones who artificially inflated their KD , ELO and now are too scared to play other of the same skill level
-
Lobby balancing was easy to exploit. By stacking, you bypass it entirely, meaning the other team is really just the first 6 random players the game could find. It was so abusable, and people abused it constantly. I'm glad they're suffering. Screw them.

4 RepliesThe real problem is KD farmers now who are upset that they can’t have easily stomp everyone in pvp anymore so they need to play the game now
-
13 RepliesEdited by Oryrk: 9/2/2022 8:35:01 PMThe issue is sweats crying . Your KD went down cause fighting sweats. Know my pain
-
4 RepliesHalf the problem... Now those control farmers are losing their false kd so they quit in those matches that they are playing poorly in .. because quitting preserves their kd and doesn't count against it.
-
1 ReplySo true and now they are crying that they are pitted against what they think they are.
-
Before sbmm I was getting matched with the same players daily. They were a stacked team with 3. To 5. Kds and would get we ran medals constantly, they also had 85 win streak, mine is 8 🥹 now I have seen them once since the change and they quit before the timer got to 8minutes.. I like sbmm 👌
-
6 RepliesWhat SBMM comes down to, is that low/average players now have a CHANCE to win, and high level players now have a chance to loose. Pretty simple reallly.
-
3 RepliesThey are discovering now the consequences of elo boost, accepting that they aren't as good as they tought they were will be so painfull.
-
6 RepliesThe people whining about SBMM are scummy af. Any argument that ultimately says you can't have fun or test loadouts unless you're playing less skilled players is indefensible. You know it in your hearts, but you make the argument anyway because... you're scum.

3 RepliesEdited by Dubufu: 9/4/2022 7:18:51 AMI feel like this is a bit...blindsided? The main reason why many people chose to 6-stack pubstomp (Including myself) was actually to avoid bad players - so they didn't have to feel held back by players who are obviously just doing their weeklies or straight up don't understand how PVP works. From what I can tell: people still do it, with great results. You really think those clans and stacks aren't still destroying lobbies? If anything, they have more of a reason to stack than before.

42 Repliescasuals: "heck yeah SBMM is awesome i can finally do something in my lobbies" sweats: "alright alright alright now that the casuals got what they want, we want loot that reflects the bracket we are in. haha idk maybe bring back the mountaintop or recluse, maybe even the redricks type of pinnacles XD" casuals: "no no no, because i wont be able to get that" sweats: "improve your gameplay, stats, and maybe you can get into my bracket one day" casuals: "i want it now, give it to me" sweats: "so you dont want to work for it?" casuals: "no" sweats: "alright enjoy no loot" SBMM vs. CBMM conversations in a nutshell
-
Hey have you always gone by the name Cobra CommanderX? Just curious. Very curious.
-
On the money. Due to bagging and sweaty 6 stacking I have yet to get through an entire control game with a full team.
-
2 RepliesThe biggest issue with SBMM is the size of the player base Destiny small pvp playerbase makes SBMM suck for anyone with a positive KD. I think my KD is like 1.2 but I always go against players with a a KD above 2. Not much different on apex. I hardly play, my KD is 1.57, and I’m somehow in master/pred lobbies often. Oh well I guess
-
Edited by BC1 Edge: 9/4/2022 12:09:51 AMTheir problem not mine. Based on what you said they are now being stomped on.
-
2 RepliesDepends on the stack. I guarantee you there are several six stacks in existence right now that are so absolutely stacked they can't be properly challenged with solos, any solos. There is a six stack in the game that had a 100+ win streak in CBMM, and I bet you it didn't change since they're still matching solos. Your over-genralized claims aside, that's the real issue. SBMM had no business launching until the preferential matchmaking or team skilll criteria bungie mentioned was ready as well.
-
3 RepliesAll this did was made me dust off the meta weapons...but this won't help people who where always bad if you sucked before how is this gonna change?
-
It's not a false sense of skill, it's just that the system hasn't been working since it's implementation this season. According to Bungie, the amount of people leaving games has gone up 12% so it's not just people I'm afraid.
-
23 RepliesThe real issue is, bad players will never know what it feels like to actually be good. & then be punished for being good because bungie pushes a forced %age win rate. If you’re bad, you’re just fodder in this games pvp, & that is okay. Unless you decide one day you don’t wanna be that, and put in some work please just stick to your job & be that fodder.

1 ReplyMost of the commentators are just zero in pvp, you don't even play it, and if you do, you don't even strive to develop. Quickies are created so that you can train, and not sweat like a tournament for 40kk. SBMM needs to be weakened or removed, because even a small part of the local whiners of SBMM defenders do not play in pvp for so many hours to croak something. After looking at most of the profiles on Destiny Tracker, I realized that you are pathetic, you do not strive to develop in this direction, almost no one took 5500 from you, you will leave after a month, and normal players will sit in pvp. In pvp, there are not so many people playing to enter SBMM, and if you enter it only in competitive mode or Osiris.
-
2 RepliesThe issue has always been connections. Back in D1, they had a connection status bar. Every game you'd see people with red connections. Bungies solution? Get rid of the connection status. This is getting unplayable for me. Every game there's at least 1-2 people lagging horribly. I just seen a vision of confluence shoot like a machine gun, while the dude teleported around. It's a shame. Everyone talked -blam!-, but I liked the PvP in this game. Fix your connections, then implement SBMM

2 RepliesI’ve noticed this too whilst doing my 3x crucible for my pinnacle. I’m always getting a few bots, either on my team or the enemy team.
