Congrats Bungie you just played yourself.
This event was the biggest joke I've seen to come out of this game yet, and to add injury to insult the rewards were garbage.
All that effort was for nothing, is what I would say if the community didn't just cheese the entire event in one day.
By taking advantage of just how broken this season was and practically auto completing the event in less than 48 hours this community just proved you didn't even try this season bungie.
A very easy to catch glitch just broke the entire event and now theres nothing left to do till next season so I'm out till then GG bungie better luck next time.

Their reputation for releasing buggy broken content is legendary, and now it's caused a weeks long event to be completed in like a day. In the words of DM uh I mean BNGHelp6 "Do better."

I feel bad for the Eliksni and want to know who, Spider, who is siphoning off all the funds we just raised. Seriously almost a half a billion coins and the Eliksni quarter was upgraded from garbage to trash and that's about it. So how many millions of trillions of coins would it take to repair the Tower? I guess we now know why there has been no repairs done since the Almighty's destruction repairs! Worst event in EVERY way since D1 was released!!! Well at least we did not sit around till we got booted and then struggled in the queue to get back in for a couple of hours like we did for the Almighty's fireworks show. At least it was a good show that lingered for a couple of weeks after the show!

The rewards were actually fairly decent for an event like this, getting a chance for a gift to drop while playing other activities is nice while finishing up stuff for the season. Potential Bright Dust and Eververse Engrams? I'll take those over the Deepsight weapons I already finished. However, the actual improvements evident in the Eliksni Quarter are abysmal. I understand the space likely won't be sticking around past this year, but even if it does return again in Year 6 (Like it did after Splicer this Season) and there are more evident signs of improvements thanks to our efforts, it won't be enough. This was supposed to be a 2 week grindfest of activities we've already been grinding the entire season, yet the changes are barely noticeable. The Tribute Hall was a solo venture that could be done quickly at a large cost or done slowly with the discounts at a far lower cost which resulted in not only an entire hall of statues to commemorate your efforts, but a useful testing range for your arsenal. The Empyrean Foundation worked because it was abundantly rewarding with seasonal loot (drowning in it) and we were working towards a more nebulous goal of re-establishing Trials of Osiris through the rekindling of a Lighthouse. The Lie quest was a complete joke that could ONLY be completed by replaying the seasonal public event that was not rewarding at all unless you were a PvP player, which meant the players doing the heavy lifting (PvE players) were left with nothing. At least the Epilogue Events (Almighty, Traveler Healing) required no input and only consisted of sitting in game with a bunch of buddies watching something occur in realtime.

8 RespuestasTo everyone who is still undecided about buying Lightfall, I'd say wait. Let all the die-hards play test it for you for a few months to really find out how many bugs and exploits there are. Once all the busted crap is patched, then buy it. All I know is they couldn't get a Halloween Event and a Community Event with minimal complexity out without serious bugs that could have easily been found and fixed before release. This is back to back. If Bungie has become this bad at quality control, I have my doubts about Lightfall.

Yeah, the dupe glitch was funny. Seeing the curve on the graph tracking donations go near vertical was also funny. But, the glitch also wasn't as relevant as people seem to think. The reason is that planetary materials would've done the same thing, just slightly later. If it hadn't been for the glitch, people would've just turned in a stack of planetary mats and finished this thing off a few hours later than with the glitch. Personally, I just did the glitch anyway, as the planetary mats might have some value later on. Even a minimal value from those mats is better than burning them in a pile to "improve" the Eliksni quarters.

2 RespuestasEverybody loses. It’s better to just forget this event was even a thing. Bungie puts out an unrewarding, uninspired grind event. No unique modifiers or anything. Just same old same old grind. Community gets pissed at this lack of ingenuity. Community decides to not partake but then finds out about a cheese. You guessed it. Middle finger to Bungie via the player base. Event gets cheesed and is completed in less than 2 days.

The least they could’ve done is add a new mode or mission. Having players grind stuff they have been grinding for months is just cruel. The rewards at the very least could’ve been something good instead of a boring ghost and emblem.

2 RespuestasI don’t understand why you’re all so offended about this event. You literally get the coins from doing regular activities. You don’t have to grind, you can play whatever you want and still donate some coins towards the end of the event. You people literally complain about everything that Bungie does, including events that cause minimal participation to get some rewards.

No effort required on my part I logged on the second day the materials turn in was unlocked offloaded a stack of materials collected the reward track logged off fantastic back to cod and rdr2
