Well... should it? A higher rating could open up more story and gameplay opportunities.

They don't make the game to be rated something. They make the game and then the ESRB evaluate it and rate it.
-
I say no. As someone many years into the zone labelled "mature" I often find games with adult themes actually very juvenile in tone.

Editado por Nineball2112: 6/14/2019 8:24:43 PMMake it M rated and miss all these gems of dialogue? "Oh look, look! A Vex Milk waterfall! Can we stop by and... Oh..." "Look at that one, he looks even theifier than the last one!" "OH MY COTTON SOCKS!" It doesn't need to be M rated, but my gosh, get rid of the 5 - 8 year old level of dialogue. It's so cringe-y, it honestly takes away from the game.

I want to see some body parts!

Given there is 0 Gore and no vulgarity or sexual references the game is still great. Maybe for destiny 3 they could just make more story since they've clearly done bare minimum of that lately. A really good rpg usually has 20-30 hours of story driven gameplay plus an additional 20+ of side content that's not necessarily end game. Since it appears destiny is heading towards mmorpg status (which it really should) they need to have a comparable amount of content to other big mmos. D2 has gone full looter shooter and honestly it's kinda a let down on that front. What keeps a lot of people here is the social aspect gaming with their friends

No. Because---like Star Trek and Star Wars---the things that get a game rated "M" would add nothign of value to the story that's being told. In fact, it would like detract from it. A lot of spiritual and philosophical issues are actually being explored in Bungie's story telling and lore around Destiny. I find that MUCH more interesting than seeing virtual blood-and-guts splashed around....and virtual people taking their virtual clothes off.

RP game But who cares about ratings in 2019lololololol
-
A game does not need a M rating to be good.
-
Only if they make it sexier.
-
No, leave it where it is.
-
It should only be rated M if it has a good reason to be rated M. Just giving it an M rating won’t magically make a game better or more mature.
-
Everyone: a GaMe WiLl Be BeTtEr If iTs RaTeD m.

If they treat the story with respect without trying to foolishly retcon everything? Sure. The Red Legion's attack on the City is a good example of a watered down story that could of been better if the writers fleshed everything out and presented it with a Mature rating. This was a horrific invasion and yet it's treated like a Saturday morning cartoon.
-
I don't see why it should. We have enough of those disturbing fps games already. There's no reason to add extra crap where it's not needed.
-
Open up more options like what? Having realistic gore, sexual content, stronger language, etc is just filler junk.

Editado por CORE SwarmFIRE13: 6/14/2019 3:06:01 PMUnnecessary. This game isn’t banking on realize. Bloody gore or more swearing would just reduce the player base and not make this game any better.
-
It depends on how that rating is used. I would like to see a darker and more in depth story for sure
-
What you want? More blood? Nudity? Mature situations?

Editado por Farco69: 6/14/2019 8:01:24 AMGimme some gears of war style shit! I wanna stab a dreg so hard it's head rips off 👍
-
Nudity, Cursing, and Blood! Yes please! However going free2play means no way!
-
Depends on what would make it rated M
-
Depends. Violence I can handle, but if shaxx is gonna start dropping F bombs and Mara gets even MORE sexual, I’m gonna have to give a hard pass on that.
-
Changing a rating wont do anything to destiny, there are kids going around playing grand theft auto and god of war. If you mean increasing the gore then meh it wont matter, I play ac odyssey and removed blood and honestly didn’t even notice the blood gone. Other than adding profanity or a more sexualized npc I honestly don’t know why bother increasing the rating on the game
-
Yeah we need mofo getting slung around of guardians and the tower people lol.
-
Wouldn't that reduce a big part of their player base? 17yo and younger?
