Horrible Performance Since Launch of Into the Light

-> PC Specs: i7 11th Gen + RTX3060 + 16GB of Ram. -> Destiny 2 used to run smoothly but now it crashes my pc with blue screens of death. -> Also, the performance is horrible, constant fps drops like no other. -> Any fix incoming or in the works, Bungie?

  • A blue screen of death means that something went wrong at the system/kernel level, the only part of destiny that touches that is battleye, precluding a battleye issue, destiny cannot cause a blue screen on a properly working computer. Go to majorgeeks and get their bluescreenview utility and it will show you all of your recent blue screens and what library was involved. This information is also in windows event viewer but it’s much more obfuscated

  • Every PC is different. So a fix for one group of PC users could cause issues with another group of PC users. Your best bet is to make sure your PC is up to date on all OS, BIOS, and driver updates. Unless there is a known issue with said update then just roll it back. I have an i5-13400 and RTX 4070 12GB. It blows through everything in Destiny 2. That being said, I do get the seldom game crash and performance dips whenever the PC is on for several hours. Whenever I reset it though performance goes back to normal.
