When you access the purchase system from in-game, it redirects you to the platform's store system. If you're attempting to make the purchase on Xbox, then it redirects you to Microsoft's own store. If you have an issue purchasing from Microsoft's store (which Bungie has absolutely no control over), then your issue is between yourself, Microsoft, and the financial institution that you're attempting to use to make your purchase. Bungie cannot assist you with your purchase from the Microsoft Store, and it's unusual that a Microsoft employee would redirect you to Bungie when it's not Bungie's systems that is giving you the error. This can be plainly seen as you've stated before that you tried to do so directly from the Microsoft Store itself outside the game; that is not Bungie's system at all. Store purchases from the Microsoft Store are processed, handled, and granted from Microsoft. After you purchase Silver from the Microsoft Store, Microsoft's systems tell Bungie upon your next login to give you Silver for your account. Bungie has absolutely no part in the actual processing of the payment or the granting of the purchase itself and only steps in after the purchase to grant the in-game currency after the purchase is made. You'll need to continue working with Microsoft to try and make your purchase. If a representative tries to send you to Bungie because you cannot purchase something from the Microsoft Store, please inform them that it's Microsoft's Store that you're having an issue with making a purchase on and Bungie cannot help you with that.
