Many of you have your heart in the right place and believe these multi million dollar companies need to add new revenue streams to survive modern game development, but the numbers just don't fit that narrative.
Let's look at some numbers shall we?
Destiny 2's publisher's (Activision) total assets are worth $17.452 billion.

2 RespostasGreed? as in profitable business sure we see it as a shit business practice but Activision is in it primarily to make money and expand their business and net worth year after year. Hell our government politicians are on more than a quarter a mill for life even once retired The company I work for made 800 mill profit last finacial year primarily by increasing consumer costs but is also reinvesting close to 3/4 of those earnings into renewable energy plant and r&d the rest? Likely lines the coffers of the GM and board of directors and other key stakeholders.
