Lightyears? - D1 and D2 or D0.85 D1 Light Edition as I call it, has had 4 years to sort out their shit, which they haven't. Despite the game content being at a bit of a stale mate, I still play it to help out clan mates. Anthem is a different game, and thus a breath of fresh air.
I am not Jumping on the Anthem bandwagon, but you are comparing chalk with cheese here. You can not base your opinion, on the GAME if the ONLY exposure you had, was a Demo

more accurate comparison would be to compare a similar game type, Division is a good example.

Comparing the Demo of D1 and Anthem, clearly D1 was the more stable and consistent experience. Content wise? I’d give it to Anthem seeing as Anthem is clearly trying to give a large open area experience and attempting to world build. But if I played both the D1 Demo and Anthem demo at the same time, I would be looking forward to D1 more as it offered a more concrete and consistent play time. The bugs in the D1 demo are no where near how bad Anthem is, and they clearly cannot fix them all by launch. Stop excusing Anthem of its ailments based on the “it’s only a demo guys!” Mindset.

A lot of the gamers that defend Destiny have never played another game since D1. They have this illusion they will "miss something". D2 hasn't gone anywhere except for Forsaken and that is not much to brag about. I don't hate the game but Bungie is majorly slacking when it comes to making improvements and moving the game forwarded. Yet they managed to do it in D1 from The Taken King all the way through ROI.

I find it extremely hard to believe you are 39. I actually want to refuse you are, because I'm 38 and I can't imagine anyone my age being upset over what game someone else plays. Especially after you've told us about your shoulder day.... None of this adds up. You care about upvotes, you got excited you were trending, added edits that spoke specifically towards Bungie. The server problems are pretty non-existent in this weekends open demo, and it’s not like Bungie hasn’t had server issues 4 years into the games life so...

the non VIP Demo ran smooth for me as well, no rubber banding etc.- the VIP demo was a shit show. - my comment was based on the VIP Demo. - Bungie has more Connection / "server" issues than any other game I have played.
