*oh man..top 3 trending with 21 total likes. Now I dont want a cookie for trending, but I do want one after 4 months of you guys playing Anthem and you all return to Destiny when you realize I was right.

It really depends on what the player is looking for. I personally have no desire for PvP and Destiny raids annoy me with how convoluted they are. That being said, the universe and story of Destiny seems more like the type of thing I would prefer. It’s such a rigid game though. They don’t really seem to respect player preferences or player time and effort. There’s too many activity specific rewards for my liking and there’s RNG in places I don’t think it should be. With Anthem, though I generally prefer first person, I look forward to having the freedom to play what I want to play to earn gear and not having to schedule specific activities because every activity is the type that can and will have optional matchmaking. So even if I don’t like the story and universe as much as Destiny’s, I look forward to that freedom.

Loadouts Excellent character customisation. Appeals to a more adult audience. No pvp. Looks beautiful. And not once have I been killed by an architect! In fact I would say it makes destiny look dated. But I’m one of those weirdos than can like more than one game so there’s a very good chance that I will play destiny, Anthem, division 2 and many other great titles coming this year. Fanboys only miss out. The comments are getting quite fruity😂😂. This isn’t a do or die decision, my advice is sub to origin or EA access for a month, try the full game, if I like it I’ll buy it and cancel the sub, if it turns out to be disappointing I’ll cancel my sub and move on.

2 OdpowiedziI thought the combat felt slow and choppy compared to Destiny (which really has top-tier gameplay no matter what you think of the rest of the game), and I didn't like how slow the first-person hub felt. But it's a great looking game, and I love Bioware, so I'll definitely be keeping an eye on Anthem. With that being said, it didn't feel at all like Destiny, so it would also never scratch the same itch Destiny does. Anthem is Mass Effect Andromeda with less story, random loot and co-op combat, basically.

That would be like having the nightfall loadout lock on for every Destiny activity. Maybe it was only this way for the demo, I don't know.

55 OdpowiedziI always find post like this funny because this post was mainly created to try to trigger gamers. A post is created and if it is trending and isn't not what the Hardcore Bungie fans agree with like you, they will create a post the opposite to try to win over the forum. No one here knows how Anthem will actually play out in the long run. As I said to someone else you can speculate but that is know different then how the hardcore Bungie fans said D2 base game was going to be better then D1 and they were all wrong. Then curse of Osiris came out that was worse then the base game... In the first couple of months Bungie lost 73% of their player base, after that the price of the base game dropped 3 times and now the base game is free with the first 2 expansions half of it not free by now. So before people start saying how D2 is good or how Anthem sucks, why don't you look at the companies actions and wait to see what actually takes place because of right now D2 is literally a mess yet gamers defended this company constantly recycling content. D2 in-game content needs a major improvment and D2 has been out how long? and Bungie has been working on this project for how many yers?

Dude, they are both different games. They focus on different things. Of course they have alternative strengths than the other game. This post is like "warframe is better than Destiny because f2p" and "Destiny is eaiser to understand than warframe" (blablabla). Why do people have to conpare always games which haven't been out yet with games already released? What about the phrase "see whats happening"?

8 OdpowiedziDestiny is a franchise in serious decline. It is being run by an indie developer with a track record of over-hype and disappointment with a side of hubris. The Destiny franchise will be marginalized and meaningless in 6 months. Guessing that Anthem will just be getting it's feet underneath it by then. Anthem did not kill Destiny, Bungie managed that all by themselves.

Ive moved on from destiny,playing other games, tried the anthem demo thought the game might be good but it looks and plays like the game came out befor d1 ,anthem should be a free to play game thats the only way i would consider playing it

Despite the game content being at a bit of a stale mate, I still play it to help out clan mates. Anthem is a different game, and thus a breath of fresh air. I am not Jumping on the Anthem bandwagon, but you are comparing chalk with cheese here. You can not base your opinion, on the GAME if the ONLY exposure you had, was a Demo 3rd person open world looter RNG with Initial VIP Demo Server Issues - VS - FPS open world Looter With No Dedicated Servers and Mediocre Loot. more accurate comparison would be to compare a similar game type, Division is a good example. think Anthem fits in the Middle: it wont Kill Destiny, That is Bungie's Job. This whole Anthem vs Destiny Crap is getting stale, god forbid Destiny players find interest in other games.The people will throw shit at you and old fruit and call you a wh*ore and shame you, because you had a kid with your brother... pfff.

Plus, Anthem lets you fly and no PvP cryhards to ruin guns. I can't wait for 2/22. I've already uninstalled D2 to make room for Anthem on my HD. Edit - I enjoy gaming with my daughter a lot, and I couldn't force her to play D2 (believe me, I tried), but her and my son both loved the Anthem demo.

I like Bioware but this game isn't getting my attention very well. I'm gonna wait on it and see what happens. My main issue is that I'm juggling several time consuming games. I can't take on another one on my plate.

1 OdpowiedźCant believe people are still comparing destiny to anthem, first all destiny is a first person shooter like halo, anthem is 3rd person shooter like warframe, so if your going to compare games it should be anthem vs warframe & destiny vs halo or call of duty. Destiny and anthem are nothing alike they are two completely different games in every aspect.

2 OdpowiedziLol. Feeling the need to post this says A LOT. @Bungie take a note from Anthem and launch D3 with NO PVP. give us quality PVE and end game PVE FIRST. Add PVP later using premade builds that force balanced and equal play. oh and the most important part: Don't ever cater to PVP. Don't lock powerful gear behind PVP. PVP should be an afterthought.

Played a lot on storm and once you gets used to the loop of flying, hovering, sprinting, shooting, it’s pretty rad. The demo was pretty weak for me though. The environments got a little “same-y” pretty quick and I just wanted more going on in general I guess. I REALLY want to like Anthem and get into it, but the demo really didn’t go far in selling me on picking it up day one or anything, which is a bummer. honestly, I don’t know how many times I got kicked right before beating a boss, or got trapped in freeplay after grinding out gear for an hour. Like, how is it this bad THIS close to launch??? Destiny is getting into a better place. Honestly, if Destiny took some aesthetic cues from Anthem to make the world look more serious I would be pretty dang satisfied with it.
