I hate Bloom as much as the next guy, but it's there for a reason.
When you factor in god rolls and aim assist, hand cannons would be insane if every shot had pinpoint accuracy when Rangefinder/Rifled Barrel is active.
Simply removing bloom is not the answer. If anything, it would cause more problems than it solves.

They were the meta for a short time during HoW, and aside from the two exotics TLW and Thorn (which were broken for unrelated reasons), the meta was pretty good aside from auto rifles being underpowered.
-
That was the best META imo ... I tore shit up with TLW and hopscotch pilgrim so good. It was most fun back then.
-
I don't think HCs themselves were ever the meta. It was Thorn, TLW and Hawkmoon that were if anything and exotics should be separated from legendaries when talking balance.
-
See, that right there is the problem. This whole mentality that if HCs actually work, and are consistent (in a SHOOTER) then they will be broken is ridiculous. Wanna know how to fix that? Easy. Revert back before 1.1.1 and redo the balancing properly. Intentionally keeping a weapon class down due to everything else not being able to fight it due to their own balancing is absolutely absurd. It's honestly strike one you're out.

But yeah....bloom is not going anywhere. At best we can hope for something that reigns in it's impact a bit. Tightening up initial accuracy a bit can go a long way towards that end.
