Dude just get the 500 gigs, u ain't gonna play ~25+ games thru 10 years. Plus some of those 2-3 games that u will buy a year will suck and make u regret the purchase so u will delete it. If u really wanna play a that game u had, clear some space and re-download.
Edit:
PS4 point of view tho, I don't know how much space games and software take on Xbox one. If similar to PS4, consider my advice.

On 500gb you can maybe fit 15 games. More if you play a lot of indie but I think 25 is optimistic on your part. I'm with you about just redid loading though. Are you really going to be playing 10-15 games at any one time?

Oh no I meant in 1T 😅

Well when I delete a game is my progress and stuff in game deleted also or is it a separate save file? Like could I play halo 5 and beat half the campaign on legendary, delete it, re download it and pick up where I left off? Also approx how long does it take to download an average game from a disc?

Oh good question. On PS4 you get "Application" section and "Application saved data" so if u delete the game u keep your saved data. But u need to ask someone on Xboxone how is the data managed on that console.
