They've glassed entire planet
On the other hand
Oryx the king of taken gets his áss whoop by a rag tag group of guardians with a weapon made by the games creators to beat him
English
-
The simple fact he can't "take" us was the reason he got butt -blam!-ed lol
-
The same Taken King who has wiped out quintillions of beings, most of which were more advanced than the Covenant.
-
We only whoop his ass because we were in his throne world. And because we are warriors of light.
-
Can someone explain glassing? I haven't played any halo games after 2 lol. I'm a PlayStation owner and my sister is mean and wouldn't let me use her 360
-
Glassing refers to using energy- and/or plasma-based weaponry to annihilate a target. The Covenant love to use massive ion beam plasma cannons from their flagships and melt the surfaces of planets. In reality, if you superheat minerals to an extremely high temperature, you can melt the minerals and turn it into glass; hence, glassing.
-
Damn that sounds bitchin'. Thanks for the reply!

Edytowany przez użytkownika Guardian2977: 10/28/2015 6:14:04 AMYou're welcome. Yes, it is pretty badáss. The Covenant are essentially the Fallen who've got their shít wired tight and can make the Darkness look like a mere shadow.

It's equal to having a laser hydrogen bomb keep on firing.
-
Your user name makes me think of ET walking out in a wrestling match to Stones Cold Steve Austen's song, and then shotgunning a Bud Light and smashing the can on his alien head.
Yeah, don't tell me I need help. I already know.
-
Dude look up Stone Cold ET on YouTube and come back to me. You will not regret it.
-
I'm literally crying.
"You know Stone Cold ET!?"
-
Haha you watched it?!
-
And the covenant loose to one spartan what's your point?
-
They never lost, the fight always continued, and if you think about it, they kind of succeeded
with a weapon made by the games creators to beat him
-
Not only has Oryx also destroyed planets, he's wiped out hundreds upon hundreds of different species.
-
According to book of sorrows, he has wiped quintillions of species
-
Yeah, I knew it was a huge number. I've only read the Books of Sorrow once. So it's a little fuzzy.

Edytowany przez użytkownika Shuriken Star: 10/27/2015 4:57:30 AMOryx cannot Take Guardians because they're already dead, plus they're infused with Light (the opposite source to the Deep, where his power comes from). Anyone else who would try to oppose Oryx will simply be Taken. Even the Vex, who are almost all machine were Taken. Only pure machines or the dead are immune.
-
but oryx is dead according to lore now so if we're talking right now covies win because there is no oryx.
-
Oryx never dies. >:O
-
Oryx is not the only Hive God, he has sisters, who are just as immortal. They are equally powerful to Oryx, even without the power of the Taken, which is only one known power of the Deep. They were even killed in their throne worlds and still came back. Since the Covenant would be unable to use their glassing on the Hive, due to them not having a home planet, there goes one of their most powerful weapons. If Oryx knows that either of his sisters is capable of ending him, even without the power of the Taken, they would also be able to take on the Covenant quite easily.
-
We don't know enough about the other hive to prove they could be a huge threat and they can still glass the dreadnaught
-
The Dreadnaught can wipe out anything within a 15,000 kilometer radius. Its weapon is also pure energy, of some sort, so it can travel much faster than any plasma or ballistic weapons, effectively deflecting any incoming attacks or ships. However, as it is now, the Dreadnaught is a mostly harmless moon-sized ship.
