throwing knife
yes indeed
I didn't know the trowing knife can 1 shot kill over the entire length of the fortress map.
it is the equivalent of a tracking sniper rocket.
is this a heavy item?
a special item like a sniper?
no
its a class ability.
and it is FAR FAR stronger than ANY other class ability in the game.
WHY does my warlock ability just tickle people but only if you surprise them.. otherwise .. nah.. it does bugger all.

3 RepliesBungie logic: We understand that players dislike titans being able to 1 shot shoulder charge so we decided to make throwing knifes one hit kill. On a more serious note my favorite Bungie memory was back in destiny 1 the whole community complained non stop and constantly about the last word and thorn being the only weapons to be used and were begging for a nerf. And everyone was looking forward to the next TWAB. However in typical Bungie fasion they then sent out a TWAB and in it there was no mention of thorn or last word but they did find time to nerf omniguls scream.

On console and controller it’s not that easy to land a precision hit as least for me. It’s very hard to land a hit if the opponent is moving. If an opponent is not moving he can be killed by anything

16 RepliesDon’t get salty if you get pooped on by an Athrys’s embrace 3.0 knife maining hunter. You have to respect people when they hit headshots with it. Especially without bouncing them because it took me a while before I started getting good with it. Respect em man.

I'm good with a 1 shot tracking book. I've been mostly playing titan this season but I'd hop back over to my warlock just for that. I'm still salty over the titan shoulder charge nerf. If that's not getting buffed in the near future, they need to change the animation from a charge to a slap. I've hit several hunters this season with a shoulder charge, and now it seems since SC doesn't kill, it sometimes punts the opponent 20-30 feet away - just outside of melee range preventing a quick melee cleanup. That's great for knocking people out of a rift, or even a bubble, but a skilled Hunter can just turn back towards you as they are sent flying, chuck a knife back at you, and instantly kill you. Ability vs. ability this doesn't seem very fair. IMO, the abilities need to be evened out a bit. Either they all have a 1-hit kill ability, or none of them have a 1-hit kill ability.

2 RepliesNot to mention you get your knife back if you kill somebody with it lol. People complain about ability spam, yet here if you get a kill with any knife ability it refunds it…makes sense. Imagine killing somebody with a grenade and you get it back instantly…; or they can just roll on the ground every 18seconds to get it back…

Remember the days, when titans ran rampant with insurmountable skullfort, ohk every other class and getting there melee energy refunded on kills? Remember the days, when warlocks had there hand held mini supernovas with controverse holds, getting the ohk and being refunded random amounts of melee energy? Guess people will never be happy 😊

48 RepliesYeah it needs to be balanced and so does the Titan's shoulder charge. Why does every other movement ability have a cooldown but this can be spammed until you hit a target? Why also is it both a movement ability and a charged melee ability. I don't see Icarus dash or hunter dodge flinging people into walls. If it's a melee ability, why do other's have a cooldown when using it once but a titan can use it infinitely🤔

2 RepliesHell yeah, that's going straight into Arc 3.0. Titans get to throw shields. Hunters get to throw knives. Warlocks get to throw books. Perfectly balanced, as all things should be.
