Especially in the flawless pool. Don’t care if it separates the play base. Let the top1% suffer

2 RepliesEdited by Token, Slayer of Gods: 3/15/2022 10:18:46 AMMan, this thread proves how toxic this community is. Not one back in forth without insults. 1) it’s a game. 2) no one’s going to change their minds. 3) stop looking up stats. Pointing out someone’s kd doesn’t make your argument right. You can not be good at pvp and still have a valid opinion(keyword) 4) insulting someone also doesn’t make your point any more valid. 5) Life’s a Garden, Dig it🤙

Edited by Olórin: 3/15/2022 9:48:09 AMHows about Freelance activates every Sunday reset? Players at a higher skill level will most likely be Flawless by the time Sunday comes round and lower skilled players have the opportunity to have their Freelance Trials games after/on Sunday. I understand that the equality vs equity is a bit off here, what i mean by this is it would be same rewards being rewarded for less effort... So, as a result of this - gaining Flawless before Sunday, players will recieve bonus loot from the Flawless chest, Passage of Confidence will double these bonus'. This way higher skilled players will gain rewards matching their efforts before Sunday. Not only this, after/on Sunday there should be no excuses for lower skilled (or anyone in general for that matter) to go Flawless when Freelance activates.

No, give nothing to pvp. Let the sweatys sit in there and mouth breathe. Good PvP in Destiny will never be a thing in this current format so don't waste the resources and put more money and time into PvE, the real backbone of the game. PvP is the WNBA being carried by PvE (NBA).

35 RepliesTop 1% dont care about flawless pool. After all they are the reason flawless pool can be hard XD. Also a competitive game mode shouldnt catter to below average players to make it easier x) But i guess thats too much common sense.
-
36 RepliesNo it shouldn't be, solo que was turned on so you soloers can TRY the mode. It was not enabled so bungie would give you an entirely seperate playlist each week. Be grateful you have solo que at all, let alone some freelance weeks... The entitlement is real, lets not forget a year ago you couldn't have searched at all without 2 others, but it's never enough with the casuals in pvp

2 RepliesNo. Trials is supposed to be the endgame PvP. Endgame generally requires effort to get a team going whether it be Lfg or friends. Same applies to Trials. Yet they still let people go in solo and offer Free Lance from time to time. Yet you still want more? No.
-
6 RepliesEdited by Althanash: 3/14/2022 11:44:53 PMNo. Why? It doesn't solve the issue. Your opinion is badly thought out. Those top 1%ers don't need to stay in the team based list. They can do freelance too and still run you over. Still waiting for the community to actually unify and put some form of pressure on Bungie to solve the MM system and introduce some form of actual ranking system to put people where they should be. The only drawback is the upper half of the average bracket will have to be included with the top 10% to keep match times down. But better that than what we have now by a wide margin.
-
I really don't care anymore about PvP. Just whatever they do, don't over nerf stuff on PvE. That's all.

3 Replies1. Freelance just defeats the purpose of Trials. It was always meant to be done with a fireteam since communication is essential. Freelance just turns it into another version of the Glory playlist. And besides, no one wants to carry 2 thumbless potatoes or New Lights at 4 wins. 2. As others have been saying, it just splits the matchmaking down further especially when Flawless pool is active, which leaves those with teams in the non-flawless pool to face card-resetting sweats. Freelance was made for soloers to try the gamemode. It was never going to be permanent.

1 ReplyEdited by TheValorous: 3/15/2022 12:33:29 AMI think Trials should have freelance because it makes sense from a situational standpoint. We have 2 main communities here, those who want to play solo, and those who don't. Those who don't will always 3 stack, those who solo will solo. So how do we make both parties happy? Have Trials have a Freelance option. Just like The Skill based, Survival, and the light level enabled Iron Banner. Both have freelance because of the difference stacking makes against randoms. Anyone saying it's just for people who are bad or w/e: If they couldn't go flawless with regular Trials, then having freelance won't improve much. Those who solo queue will mostly leave the main pool, so all that will be left is those that just want to play, or those with just 2 people for w/e reason. The freelance queue would probably end up matching quicker than regular trials because there would be more flexibility. If anything, your only possible argument would be that removing the majority of the solo players would lengthen your queue times and mean less flawless for 3 stacks because they have to go up against more three stacks. So in reality, those who three stack don't want freelance, because then they couldn't get easy flawless against random solo/2 queues.

20 RepliesAgreed. This mode is preferred amongst my peers. It gives people a way to play without depending upon others and MOST of the time the matches are pretty equal. In my history of freelance trials, majority of matches were competitive and fun (which is what Trials should be). Going in regular queue and its always a steamroll or get steamrolled. The MM in regular queue is a JOKE.

I'll be back in trial the week it goes freelance and not until then.

I agree. I run solo all the time. I miss freelance.

4 RepliesBungie, You recently lashed out on twitter vehemently condemning the communities overwhelmingly negative response to Void 3.0. (@Dmg-4). You insisted that the community provide "constructive criticism" so here it is. First, it is critical to understand that the backlash which caused your response did not occur until Trials of Osiris returned for the season. This competitive PvP mode quickly forces players to contend with toxic and desperate synergies of Void 3.0. The abused abilities which caused the majority of the complaints are ultimately crutches for new players that are abused by skilled players. Shatter dive was the previous crutch that guaranteed new or low skilled players multiple ability kills in every match. Infinite invisibility or Infinite over-shield are the new crutches that increases survivability with the roll back of ability regeneration rates. While this seems nice to encourage players to participate it is ultimately always abused by skill-gap players and adversely discourages the participation or continued play you hope for. To prevent toxicity and abusive mechanics provide actual balance. Bungie pays exceptionally smart individuals six figures to code algorithms which facilitates the performance and experience of the game. These codes are tested in beta communities where spamable abilities and other potential quality of life performance issues can be uncovered. Spend more time in this phase of development and actually take action when potential issues are anticipated. Ultimately, Guardians are exceptionally intelligent and exploits cheeses and abusive synergies will be uncovered. Therefore, Freelance PvP was a strong deterrence and alternative to arguably broken or crutched abilities and safeguarded the experience by allowing players to craft a build to combat ability spam. It is exceptionally more difficult to outplay crutches when it is 1v3. This frustration is exasperated when the process is repeated each season. The hunter is designed to cater to new players for profits therefore they will always be given an edge in the game mode that new players avoid most. This cycle of abusing crutches and ruining competitive PvP will always continue because of Money. Void 3.0 is not Broken, Bungies values are. -Absolute

4 RepliesIf freelance becomes permanent then they need to remove flawless pool. You don't get both

14 RepliesEdited by Merc: 3/15/2022 7:13:22 PMAll these comments from the helmet wearing players. “Oh you shouldn’t be able to play solo blah blah blah it needs communication”. No, YOU need communication. YOU crutch on someone else to do the work for you. Some players prefer to just go into games and play. Does it make a single bit of difference if that solo player manages to get an armor or weapon from Freelance Trials? How does that hurt you? Why can’t other people have nice things? Anyone who has paid for this game is equally entitled to every aspect of it, even the solo players. And yeah, go ahead and look at my trials KD and come back with a “yOu SuCk AnYwAy”. Doesn’t hurt me a bit because PvP is trash. Until gambit got revamped pvp was the worst part of the game. Gambit definitely wears that crown now.

Pvp needs to be thrown away. Bungie should be ashamed of their pvp work. Destiny 2 pvp makes apex severs look like god tier. Unreal
-
splitting player base is so dumb in a already small player base. i love how people -blam!- there was no matchmaking then they get it now u want more so dumb people will never get satisfied next after freelance comes in people go waaahhh i still can’t go flawless let me get adept after rank 16.

that’s

Agreed. I refuse to socialize. 😂🤣

Pvp should be removed and bungie pvp team should never have a job

100% agreed 👍

It's a carrot. They dangle a carrot while they are probably working on a new PvP IP. They have investors from China, and now their behind is owned by Sony. They are just keeping this game afloat for a couple years. It's a sinking ship in shallow waters. A mile wide and an inch deep of shallow waters. Lmao!

Edited by AvP: 3/14/2022 9:31:06 PMAgreed. It really sucks playing trials when you don't have a premade team.

I played some trials last night. Keep in mind I dont care 1 bit about pvp anymore, and Ive always been pretty average with moments of greatness. If you happen to look, my kd is utter nonsense because I couldnt care less..and havent for a long time. First few were with a guy that went flawless. I dont know him too well. Seems like he's really good. Uh, I got smoked ... a lot lol. I personally would need to be carried in that sweat fest. The rest were played with just 2 of us, without the flawless guy. It was like shooting fish in a barrel. But like, if the barrel was really small. And there was no water in the barrel. And only fish. And I had a rocket launcher. 😆 This has given me some hope of reaching the lighthouse again, after all these years. I went flawless a lot in D1. Some of which was due to carries. Others due to teamwork and skill. But I have not enjoyed Trials at all in D2. Until maybe now?! Idk if any of that has anything to do with OP. I guess maybe. Whatever makes it enjoyable...that's what they should do.
