Season 19 was perfect. Seraph Shield was fun to run solo on legend. It was difficult but not overly difficult to where it was an unenjoyable cheesy mess. I ran master Vow with my clan, it was tough but we made it. Now, I can't even beat the new exotic mission on legend with a friend. Unloading a whole mag on a red bar enemy is annoying. I've been playing regularly since Warmind, but now I'm losing my love for the game. This is not fun.
Bungie, I think most of use agree that you need to look at difficulty again, or you are going to lose veteran players like myself and push new lights away. Please reconsider the changes.

ArmedPalehorseにより編集済み: 3/26/2023 12:34:04 PMAgreed last season the difficulty was perfect as was the exotic mission. It didn't need fixing. All this was all done to increase the grind and now once daily players like myself don't even wanna pick up the controller.

People who complain the game is hard are : Using 2 primary weapon / dont super / dont use heavy ammo / dont mod armor / dont use exotic .....
Bungie, I think most of use agree that you need to look at difficulty again,
This^ really needs to stop. The truth is, a lot of you need to actually face reality. Going on 9 years and you guys still ignore the facts, things that have been right in front of your faces the entire time. Why? What do any of you get out of ignoring what is in plain sight? I'm actually really curious. What this business does is literally planned, designed, and thought out way ahead of time. (There are no "mistakes" in their actions.) It is literally designed how they wanted it. There is nothing to look at, at all. They designed it to be the way it is to waste your time to show numbers. Why do a lot of you ignore this, and keep asking questions like this??? I'm asking a legit question because you should know by now being a vet as you said, yet you think somehow they actually made a "mistake". The worst part about them making these mistakes as some call it, is that a lot of players will praise them when they adjust it being fully aware that it was literally designed how they wanted it. "Thank you Bungie for "fixing" what you deliberately broke in the first place for the umpteenth time". Wake up people, it's time to smell the coffee.

I agree with you but I’m starting to lose hope that the difficulty changes will be adjusted. We are 4 weeks into this season and despite numerous requests made across several social media platforms Bungie has been silent on this. Until the mass player exodus occurs around week 6 I believe Bungie won’t do squat. Playing the new Neomuna content is seriously painful. It’s not fun. It’s just a boring slog.

I finally reached my breaking point after another frustrating session. Now I too as a veteran player have stopped playing. As of today I will monitor the TWAB and other sources for news about lowering the difficulty level. There has to be major changes for me to return, not just nonsense like "We're increasing the damage level on x weapon by 10%." This game needs a major overhaul. The BS started last season with Heist Battlegrounds. Since then it has become a lot worse. There is no excuse for putting hard to kill enemies in a patrol area and ruining Legendary lost sectors for the majority of the player population, let alone the poor design of other activities. I sincerely hope the daily population declines drastically over the next month as did in the second month of Y1. Bungie has to be shown that we have had enough of their wrong direction.

ImOnlyBleedingにより編集済み: 3/24/2023 3:23:33 PMWhile I understand that the power-creep was becoming an issue in some areas of the game, I believe the changes this seasons have been an overcorrection, at least for some areas of the game. The confusing part is that the changes barely effected the high end of the difficulty spectrum, with GMs retaining the same power delta, and probably becoming easier overall with the removal of match game. So far, the best example of the over-correction is Legend Avalon. As an activity required for the seasonal seal, something that has traditionally been a participation medal, this activity is WAY over the top. It is touched by ALL of the difficulty changes simultaneously. It feels like it was designed for our OP guardians, and then left alone when all of the difficulty dials got cranked up. No checkpoints, time-limited sections, power-delta’d down by 15, with limited revives and a wipe timer. Now add in wyverns that spawn in just as you are asked to dive into a small hole. I’m sure I will eventually find the build and team that gets this done, but this is one in particular feels over the top. (Edit: I forgot to add in that it is also harder if you have a team - so, yeah, Legend Avalon seems a bit over-tuned) My biggest complaint about the difficulty changes is the forced power deltas. This is how many players overcame things like Master activities, or at least them made them less-frustrating enough to be enjoyable, or at least worthwhile. Even then, at least for me, the only Master activity I would grind was NFs for exotics and upgrade materials. I don’t know anybodythat regularly ran Master riads – even people like Datto only ran Master raids to get their triumphs and didn’t touch them again. The vast majority of the players looked at Master riads and just saw too much frustration for the rewards. Now, the rewards are unchanged, and you can no longer overcome the frustration of the difficulty by leveling. I don’t mind the power deltas in GMs. They have a specific title associated with them, and everyone knows what Conqueror, especially multi-gilded Conquerors, means. It means you can overcome those power deltas in all 6 strikes of those seasons. Personally, I think I gilded three times and stopped. I had reached the point of using the upgrade materials for mastwerworking exotics that I never use, and I didn’t care about the prestige enough to deal with the harder GMs. So, since then, I farm a couple of the easier GMs, or simply did one GM for the seasonal triumph. I understand that GMs had become easier. In recent seasons, I LFG’d them with no mic to get them done – something that would have been rough in the seasons I gilded my conqueror title. So, I would have understood tuning the high end of the difficulty spectrum. What we got was a Legend Avalon activity that is one of the toughest PvE challenges we’ve seen, while we got one of the easiest raids ever and GMs that will be barely touched, and possibly made easier. The changes simply don’t compute – they seem upside down.

As someone who has to carry the 99% of Nightfalls I do, I 100% agree, to most people it's not fun to die all the time, to me it's not fun to have to do everything by myself because the average player just cannot do these activities. It's only fun for the people who permanently play with their friends and have the best weapons.

Agree difficulty changes to help streamers get clicks was a pretty bad move… specially with such a large casual playerbase -
It’s strange going into a legend lost sector and having a much harder time than during the new raid. I really don’t understand that

I was running strikes the other day, had two very obviously newish players in the squad. No masterworked gear, and random weapons. Then we loaded into Mars battleground. First section, clearing out the entrance to clovis bray building was good fun, just slay out and murder baddies. Then we got to the laser quest part and it was terrible. I felt really bad for them dying over and over. This wasn't fun, at all. I was fine, I know where I'm going, when to duck etc. You can't guide them through either cos you'll get yourself killed. Only option was to go on ahead by myself and eventually they'll get dragged, All was fine after that until, you guessed it, we got to the boss room. A round room with infinite spawning adds all over the map, as soon as you kill one wizard, another spawns immediately. There's no pause, just run like F and hope. Constant deaths. I mean constant. They could barely kill anything cos they just had to run. Eventually we got there but it was an utter slog. Not fun in any way. And this was a STRIKE! Not a NF, this is supposed to be entry level content accessible to all. If you're a veteran player, farm GM's, master raids etc etc, strikes are meant to be easy for you. At your level the strike playlist is not targeted at you. Accept that. I've done a lot of strikes this week and while personally I'm OK, new lights are getting destroyed in the very content that's meant to be designed with them in mind. It's a very real problem that IS making players stop logging in. The really annoying thing though, this issue is being brought up and discussed literally everywhere. Yet we've not had a single response from Bungie even acknowledging player concerns. Just radio silence. It's terrible public relations and actually smacks of arrogance.

Bungie could shove their **** all the way down to the ****s into a sausage grinder and still wouldn't admit it was a bad idea. Unless there is a true mass exodus from the game they will keep sitting on their hands with both thumbs up their -blam!- at least for the rest of the season. They will probably adjust difficulty down for next season without ever admitting they made a mistake.

NeoReaper82により編集済み: 3/25/2023 1:51:12 AM1.3 million players daily say otherwise EDIT: LMFAO down-voted because children can't handle facts.

Even if millions of us would keep complaining, a single voice of a neckbeard streamer would outweigh all of our voices because Bungie loves them for some weird reason. Most D2 streamers are the most unlikeable personalities i've ever seen, that tells me a lot about the devs aswell lol.

I for one love it. Now all the PvE players know what it’s been like for dedicated PvP players since SBMM was implemented. You all complained that PvP was to easy for those that actually dedicated time to learn and improve. Now the difficulty has come full circle to the PvE side of the game. You made your bed. Now sleep in it.

Can someone tell me what the point of XP grinding is anymore? What’s the point in grinding up to 1840+ by seasons end? It doesn’t do anything. Once you get all 1810 gear and +15 on artifact, there’s no reason to play other than gathering red borders.

whos idea was it to put turrrets all around the elevator in the nightfall, its super annoying and like i died to it once, but a lot of casuals, they just stand there, I also just got beyond light for stasis and theres this quest which asks u to do 2 nightfalls, with no fragments, barely any grenades, no aspects, how do u expect me to do it, when the focus as u have literally said it is on buildcrafting, honestly we rlly shudnt have to unlock all the fragments one by one its 3 years old, ik it make up most of the post campaign experience, but its years old and we dont need a post campaign experience at this point when theres already so much new stuff, and like why do u have to unlock strand only after the campaign, dint osiris say that we literally shud master it to face calus, feel like I should come out of the campaign with y entire subclass unlocked sry for the rant, like the threshers....just like cant,

Partion: Hard Reset polymorphic shellcode mission is a perfect example of this. Running it solo is a nightmare that only masochists could love.
