I don't get them making these changes now. We basically have a long time before potentially any real content is added to the game. It's like they are so afraid people are going to get through stuff and stop playing.

It’s play testing. Put it this way; If you pay 1 person to play test your game for 10 hours, now you have 10 hours of play data to analyse. If you upload your test to your live game for 7 months, you get thousands and thousands and thousands of years of play data for free.
