dude, handcannons have been pretty dominant since d1. autos had a very brief period in vanilla d1 and d2 until they were nerfed, now they shine for a little while and you complain? bungie nerfing bodyshot damage is a big deal because hitting mostly crits with an auto is neigh impossible. the ttk is only if you hit all heads, which is never going to happen in the real world so the ttk will hover somewhere near 120rpm handcannons, one second. 120 handcannon peak shotting an auto will win a large majority of the time.

  • I wish I could insert memes.... I'd put the one of the laughing hispanic dude... Auto rifle = shitter meta. Let's pretend high aim assist, max recoil direction, near max stability, and having an average of 8-15 meters more range makes them difficult to use. If those stats were flipped hand cannons were the topic of the thread... You'd have all the Karen's in here quoting those exact things.... They probably from some TV video.... Ironically side arm stats are ridiculous in comparison.... But hey, I guess a 0.60 300+ rpm spam gun with 19-25 meters of range is difficult to use right... So what's really good?

  • I feel 600 autos should be left where they are and handcannons should be what they were pre nerf. buff scouts and pluses as well as 450, 720, and 390 autos. make the game fun for christ sake, this isn't an mlg game and never will be, even though bungie wanted that for d2 vanilla. you want competitive, go play something that's actually competitive, because destiny isn't it.

  • So why have trials and claim it's competitive, use it to entice people into the franchise.... And then show ZERO desire to balance the game? Hand cannons lost range. They never gained damage. So pre nerf hand cannons would be to give them range back. Leave autos where they are, give hand cannons their range back... So now that there is an EZ button to compete and win against a weapon that requires arguably more aim..... It's ok for hand cannons to gain range back? [b]No. In all honesty, hand cannons did have to much range. They did step on other primaries. Hand cannon a are in a good spot right now. [u]Something that requires minimal aim, has zero recoil, more range shouldn't have a lower ttk value. Ever.[/u][/b] Hand cannon aren't an issue. Now it's auto rifles and the shitters don't want to admit it even when it's obvious. Luna, NF, and recluse all had TTK values close to suros or kill clip autos.... There was a lot of crying about that. Now you hush anyone who points it out? Jeeeeee. Pulses are in a good spot. If you don't use them, try it. If you're bad at aiming... Don't expect it to do everything for you like an auto rifle. Really quickly on this... Pulses were godly then got tuned down. They are in a very good spot right now. Not all archetypes are good... Not all autos are good. Not all hand cannons are good. When you have 1000 archetypes, that's the down side to variety. Scouts are a joke with the exception of very few. It's not so much the weapon, it's more of map design. Maps perform well with lanes... Except a lot of lanes in this game are short and other primaries are present. Fusions are an absolute joke. 1hk at 35+ meters but people cry about 7 meter shotguns.... If you allow someone to push you that hard without punishing them.... That's a you problem. Side arms are mini nukes. 300+ rpm spam things with 0.60 ttk values. Highest being a 0.77 I think? But those have range similar to hand cannon a and with kill clip they drop closer to a 0.5... so.... Like I'm really confused. A lot of the sweats and people that run it know the game. Don't preach to us. We understand why things are broken. We ban them for those reasons. Not because we " only use hand cannons and ape with shotguns " but because while you're crying that you caught a gunni at 27 meters from a dire.... I see more of a problem with the dude 3 peeking with a back up plan fusion that has a 1hk range of roughly 25 meters. Since... You know... Backup plan supposedly adjusted the fusion frame and reduced range... But I've never seen a proleium consistently map at anything higher than 18-19 meters. Soooo... Lie?

  • I pretty sure "in the real world" if you hit someone in the face with even a single round from an assault rifle he's not going to keep running up to you without breaking stride so he can shoot you with his shotgun. And there's a reason even elite forces don't use high caliber pistols as their primary weapons in the "real world". Game world - game logic.

  • Where have the hand cannons been for a year on console? Why aren't people using them on trials? Because they aren't easier than autos, they have less range, slower ttk and no other advantages over autos. Yes peak shooting is great with hc's, but with p2p connections and god awful tick rates it doesn't even matter. You get beamed through corners 90% of the time.

  • Haven't seen a single one in trials or comp this whole year. Even in quickplay it's more common to get 11 autos + me than to see anyone else using hand cannons. 150's are meta on pc, quite far from it on console. Ps. Go look at trials reports from past weeks. Past weekend hand cannons had 30% of the kills that autos did on ps4. About the same on xbox. Do you even play this game?
