I have a problem with the gore

From what we have seen so far, killed enemies will disintegrate without any blood effects. This really bothers because it looks so unreal and stupid. I don't want the game anywhere near as gory as Gears of War, but I want some realistic blood effects and ragdoll to balance out all the space magic.

I miss the "golden years" of gaming, where gibs were commonplace. Growing up playing games like DOOM and Duke Nukem, and later Quake and UT, I grew accustomed to the extra "flavor" this brought to games. recently however, it seems blood and gore are intentionally left out of games. Even wth M rated games, it seems that they receive that rating more for things like language or "adult themes," rather than wanton violence. Yes, there are still gory games, like God or War, Gears of War, and Borderlands, but it seems games like this tend to be the exception, whereas in the past, they were closer to the rule. I would love it if Destiny was a gory game, but it wouldn't need to be overkill. I think too much could take away from the atmosphere or "feel" the game is trying to project, but like a headshot that explodes heads, or a rocket blast resulting in gibs, I don't see taking anything away from the game. Would really like to see some visceral damage from shotguns as well.
