No no, North Korea won't do anything until China okays it. Whether the general public realizes it or not, North Korea is just China's puppet. North Korea has a ruined and irreversibly terrible reputation, so China can continue to use them as a "social testing" drone to see how the US (and allied nations) respond to underground nuclear bombing and the like.

  • Not really. The last thing China wants right now is for North Korea to be throwing around threats and doing some sabre rattling. And they especially don't want a shooting war that could derail their path to becoming the world's economic superpower. The fact that the latest round of sanctions were drafted by jointly by the US and China is a really obvious indicator that Beijing is sick and tired of dealing with their ADHD neighbour. What's more likely is that China has okayed a US/SK counterattack if NK fires the first shot.

  • I'm not too sure about that. It's like I said in another post, I'm sure the only reason China still gives a -blam!- about N.K is because it acts as a buffer states between the reds and the pro west South. Thats the reason why Korea was spilt in the first place along with all the former counties in the U.S.S.R.
