I think armor in general needs something extra to keep it interesting. For the most part, players are just after armor for transmog. It's not hard to get armor with high stats anymore and the majority of sets offer nothing different compared to many other sets. The only exceptions are artifice armor, Iron Banner armor for Iron Banner, and raid armor, though not many players are hunting for raid armor to use the raid armor mod slots. Every time I get armor to drop in general right now, I feel disappointed. And Rahool can't decrypt engrams for nothing. I think the new exotic class items coming in The Final Shape could keep players well-occupied for their Prismatic builds, though. Gives players a reason to hunt for class items at least.
