According to alot of people, the game loads way faster on new SSDs or new consoles (which have NVMe SSDs).
Apparently going to the tower takes seconds.
Idk I thought loading times took forever to load menus specifically because the servers were slow, since all the items you own is stored on Bungie's side, not your harddrive. But apparently not.
Can anyone confirm or deny this that is using a brand new console (Series X only or PS5, not Series S)?

Untrue dont think having a ssd matters anymore for tower load times . When they made everyone go into the tower at the same time thatvwhen i saw my load times be consistently slow. Before it was random now its always slow loading times .

Started to slow down and now is back to ps4 load times. Happened March April timeframe

When I upgraded from xbox one to series x - it was was unreal how much faster the game loaded. I couldn’t believe how much time I wasted on loading screens with xbox one. Newegg always has them in stock at retail.

Doesn’t take long on a ps5, ps4 is slow the worst thing I hate on ps4 is the menu or change gear takes 10 to 15 seconds. Doesn’t help if you have a fat ps4 they run on 2.4ghz, slim or pro ps4 is 5ghz same as a ps5

Confirmed (series x)

Series s has the same type of SSD as the series X, just a smaller capacity. Can confirm on a series s, it take just a few seconds to load into the tower

I'm aware but Series S has horrific specs and I am talking about loading something.

Editado por A RANDOM GENT: 11/27/2022 8:25:37 PMLoad times are mainly dictated by the speed of the SSD of which the series S & X are the same. If anything the series s will sometimes load ever so slightly quicker than the series X as it's has to do so at a lower resolution (but this is dependent on the game). I think saying the series S specs are horrific, is a bit of an over exaggeration. The Series S provides an excellent price point for this generation, especially if 4k is not something you are bothered about.

Ps5 times are very fast, a matter of a few seconds.

Can confirm, I was on PS4 with upgraded SSD in it and was faster than with the original HD, and then got my 5, huge difference, I now sometimes load in faster than some clan mates on PC
