Destiny's modding is a terrible and archaic system. These mods are barely impactful. It's not even a proper modding system. Want a grenade build? Just put on the same 3 mods across all three characters with discipline armor and done. Now translate this to every other kind of "build". From a pve perspective: Mods need to seriously enhance gameplay. How about some subclass mods? Put on X mod on Y subclass to make supers last 10 seconds longer. Or how about, put on another X mod increase headshot multiplier from automatic weapons. Etc etc you get the gist. Every armor has the same stat mods followed by something utility based. Every weapon ends up with a spec mod. No variety. And there needs to be a dedicated way to get mods. Mod drops scale to difficulty of activity. This ada 1 crap is the worst. Nightmare for someone who wants to get into destiny.

Also I love the idea of scaling drops to difficulty, that way high-level players could feel rewarded, and on the way to high level activities players could gradually collect and learn about the mods that could help them with the high level stuff. Thanks for posting your thoughts Guardian!
