Hypothesis on Vex Mythoclast Drop Protection

I don’t think it has it because it’s the first F2P raid we’ve had. If this is true, I think it’s really scummy. I’m not a F2P player, I would imagine most people that raid aren’t either. Drop protection should be added before you nerf it and it becomes unusable once again

  • Who knows. Either way, time gated RNG is the worst possible reward mechanic that could be used for a game like this. It has nothing to do with ability or skill at all. No amount of increased proficiency of the raid in any way increases your chance. It’s the least compelling, least engaging, and least rewarding mechanic there is and not only do they use it for endgame drops, but people actually defend it. 🤦‍♂️

Theres only 1 way, 1 actual way to get Vex. Here's what you have to do. 1. Stop playing Destiny. Quit it cold turkey for no less than 3-4 months, even longer is better. Make sure before you quit you have either 0 VoG clears or less than 8. Even better I'd you have less than 10 or so Raid cleans across your account from any raid. 2. Come back, under leveled and unprepared gearwise. Get some guns to make it seem like you know what you're doing. 3. Find an LFG, preferably with people who have over 100+ clears and haven't gotten Vex. Join that team. 4. Play like absolute -blam!-. Remember, in terms of Destiny, you are a noob once again. You don't remember anything about VoG. You have crap gear, the wrong guns, don't know how any encounter works. MOST IMPORTANTLY, you don't know how to count or the difference between Right and Left or Front and Back. Bonus if you don't use a Mic or don't communicate whatsoever. 5. Die to everything, mess up encounters, keep stepping in the goo. Don't stun the Minotaurs. Break the wrong Oracles. Don't shoot the Oracles, Call out the wrong Oracles. Literally make this 20min raid take like 3hrs to complete. 6. Profit. You will get Vex and everyone in the raid group will be on clear number 199 with nothing and they'll probably call you all kinds of names, which you deserve. 7. Come to the forums and find a post in which someone is complaining about being on run 200+ and still haven't gotten Vex. Tell them to "git gud, I got it on my 2nd run and I don't even use it. It's just RNG bruh, you'll get it eventually." ***This method has worked for roughly 35 of the LFG groups I've played with so there must be some truth to it.*** *Disclaimer* In the likelihood Bungie absolutely destroys Vex with Nerfs during you time away from playing, this advice is irrelevant, as everyone who didn't have Vex would have gotten it by then since it is absolutely trash and has fallen out of the meta.

  • Raids should never be F2P. F2P should be ONE strike, ONE PvP game mode, gambit, and the cosmodrome. Nothing else. No exotic quests, no seasonal activities. They should be a demo and that’s it. F2P gets way to much.
