Days spent working on a puzzle....
Bungie, the community spent days working on this puzzle. It brought a lot of us together. Unique idea. There are thousands of people mentally exhausted. And THIS was the reward? An exotic we already knew about? You know why people rage and leave, and say you all can't put together quality content?
Because of this shit right here.
Seriously. Awesome idea, but the reward was just not worth the damn grind that thousands put into this.
This is how you lose the confidence and trust in the community.

2 RespuestasWhy would you expect any different from them ... I'm genuinely confused by this. They're obviously doing the absolute bare minimum - regarding content - and no, this quest did not take them that long to create. I'd wager this quest was thought of while they were still partnered with Activision ... I expect things to get much worse moving forward. Your unrealistic expectations are only going to cause you more frustration; I recommend that you think of what the easiest thing for them to do for a particular season is, and expect that.

2 RespuestasHonestly I dont believe there is a way for developers to win these days. Dont announce things, get beaten up for not having enough on the seasonal roadmap. Add to that complaints that players 'if I'd have known' complaints that come with hidden add ons. Announce things, community self driven hype takes over regardless of the information provided. Get spammed over and over that it wasnt good enough. Only middle ground I could see is if they'd put a mystery mission date on the roadmap, followed by a 'if unsolved' release date. If these were 3 weeks apart, maybe the community would have tempered the hype better and felt rewarded. Weirdness was that all the effort appears to only have saved 2 days before planned release. Of course counter to all this is... ...what if the puzzle went unsolved and the Bastian roadmap date was pushed back... again it woulda been met with rage. Simply no winning. I enjoyed this event. Was fun to see unfold. And if those who participated on it also enjoyed it, well then that's why we play games and interact as a broader community.

2 RespuestasWhen I think of toxic behavior, I think of someone attempting to cause emotional or physical harmto someone. Undermining their decisions, who they are as a person, etc. This commenters on this forum get called toxic quite a bit. While a lot of complaining goes on here for sure, most people are giving their opinion, their feedback. Much of it could be stated better, but I believe most of it is simply critique and emotion. I don't think much is intentionally harmful or hateful. People need to remember just how important free speech is. Constantly calling people toxic and telling them what they should or shouldn't say is toxic. What makes you right? Who made you the authority? As to the topic at hand, Whisper and Zero Hour showed how surprise missions with surprise rewards are received universally well. Niobe Labs and now Corridors of Time show that involved surprise puzzles with already road mapped rewards meet severe backlash. I personally loved all the puzzles, but wish this one would have given us an unknown, unexpected reward. Bastion is a great weapon, IMO. As for Niobe Labs, I would like to see more non-time gated, rumors of legendary places with legendary prizes content. Stuff that people start to call myth. Until one day someone finally unlocks it. Not everything needs to be instant gratification. I digress. In parting, in the words of Bill and Ted, "Be excellent to each other!"

But i was shocked to come on here and see people though it was going to be something else other than bastion lol. In my mind, all week ive been thinking it was the bastion quest. Now im hearing people say they thought it would be vex, or gjally lol. Or a sword. Why? Why would bungie put a wep like vex or gjally in content that dissapears in a month? It was always going to be a season pass exotic. The community hyped this up themselves. Sure, revealing bastion in the pass was dumb. But youd have to be naive at this point to credit bungie with giving us something better than seasonal trash. It was always gonna be weak sauce.

I love that they said it's a marathon not a sprint.. but then people are mad that they spent hours and hours on it losing sleep and then they find out this was the reward lol serves you right. Play the gane casually we don't need everything figured out and solved in the first day....

Well, they wanted to give you guys a rest from the dismantling simulator, that is Destiny 2, and switch it up with a running simulator. Give them credit for trying to mix things up a bit.

19 RespuestasIt wasn't even an awesome idea. It was "Running Simulator." Over an hour of running. Holding the left stick forward. This was a terrible, awful idea. And the reward was not only an exotic that was known but it's a kinetic that will likely see more time in your vault than use out in the world. And you know it. Everything about this was crap. We didn't explore or interact or learn anything. We ran forward for over an hour and any "lore" would have to be read on your own time instead of experiencing any of it while actually playing the game. This is an awful formula for a game from start-to-finish. Nothing about this game is a thought-out narrative or cohesive gameplay in any way, shape or form. So glad that this season is the last season Bungie gets a dime from me and, from the sound of it, many others. The only reason I even had Dawn was because I did want to play D2, whenever I felt like it, on PC since the game loads like total a** on console. But, yeah, no season pass or buying any of this piece-by-piece because I have absolutely no FOMO syndrome. D2 will be a game I hop on every once in a while when I wanna shoot some things for an hour until I get bored and run around the tower for another hour and not log back in for three weeks.

Oh look, yesterday the quest bugged out for me, today - still nothing...... I even got the notice while i was in orbit to go see saint, no quest, reset the app, no quest, go on my titan (character who originally saved saint on my account) no quest...... Care to explain, Bungie?

1 RespuestaI'm exhausted. I was having fun actively participating and watching the puzzle. I'm burnt out of the season already and was hoping this would glue me in. (I do like the grind but I need purpose in my grinds again.... I do have my shadow, unbroken, bungie bounty emblem..... and give or take a bunch of god rolled guns. I no longer have big things to chase- not even in comp.) (Sorry about the flex, you need to see where I'm coming from- I'm from a considerably small percentage of guardians). I played during season of the drifter ffs- I had ways to stay busy then. But rn I'm burnt out, I was working on puzzle in Gladd insta, I was excited last night watching my friends beat Gladd to the end cause... wow.... his [b][u] quest step bugged.[/u][/b] Seeing bastion come out made me sad. I love how it looks and functions- but this was not the place it should've dropped. Especially the "speak to spider" part. All I have to do this season is literally just do that... nothing else. I hope in the future they do wiser and more abundant seasons. At this point even a player like me is burning out and I quite literally find ways not to. This time I cant find a way.
