#RemoveEververse or make it far more reasonable.

Post title speaks for itself. And no I'm not expecting comment from anyone at bungie besides the usual paid shills or bungie staff that try to interject with they normal defenses. Reason why I believe that: no REAL gamer would defend this trash model of microtransactions. Anyone that supports or "loves" paying for loot in a shooter looter game are either following a script or are really that stupid. • Ereverse is not that bad, most of the items that are sold for silver have been sold for bright dust. Either way, the items are purely cosmetic and have zero effect on the game. Remember this… You want bungie to make money, they are independent now and you want to keep them able to afford to keep bringing us great content like shadow keep, forsaken etc. The ornaments for whisper of the worm paid for the whole outbreak perfected quest. Plenty of people like myself, do not mind throwing $20 or $30 at the screen every three months to acquire silver and get the cool stuff. It’s usually the cheap people who do not even buy the season that complain or the kids who do not have bank accounts or jobs yet. The only adjustment that I can see would be to add a guaranteed 50 or 100 bright dust to each bright engram.

    • the problem isn't Eververse. its everyone that thinks Bungie should give their stuff away for free. Eververse isn't for earning items in game. its now a source of revenue for Bungie. they don't want you earning anything. they want you to spend actual money. since they lost their sugar daddy, Activision, they need income. and no the cost of the expansions and season passes do not cover their expenses. the cost of games hasn't gone up with inflation for a decade or so. however the cost of developing games has. whether you like it or not, these are the hard truths. the sooner you all realize this the better. the fact that so many people cry about the prices, shows Bungie you like the items and will be willing to buy the items sooner or latter.

    • I think they would make more money with 5 dollar emotes or less. 2.99 would be ideal for exotics. The armor ornaments should be the same. 1 buck for legendary and rare emotes. I think less people would mind the bright dust economy if this was the case and they would triple the sales or more. I know I'd buy more for 3 bucks. As of now I bought the skeleton ornament and that's it since 2014.

      • They really need to re-establish the cost to quantity population purchases ratio on all the items. They drop things 25% and see a huge uptick of purchases...well you see my point. They should definitely look into it. Squeezing water from a rock is what they are doing now.

        • Who wouldn't pay $10 for an emote??? Uhhh, me. They would make a mint if they would charge $1-2 for the ornaments. I would probably buy stuff I didn't like just to have it.

        • I understand the need for eververse and I'm guilty of spending money on cosmetics myself but I do agree things have gotten out of hand. They need to improve the bright dust economy and reduce silver prices by 25-50%.

I would pay 10 dollars a season to not have eververse in the game at all & remove 2.0 while your there Bungie. So $40 a year seems more than generous.

I think it's stupid how Bungie is creating these events nowadays and they're getting worse each year that has gone by. 1 reskinned weapon from Warmind that once you get it, they set up a stupid fixed roll system creating this false hope, "you will get good rolls" wasting a players time and resources knowing the 1 you acquire from the event is one of the best rolls if not the best you're going to get. No, I didn't play with the stupid rolls for the weapon. When did rigging their game become a thing? Also, the Season of the undying items suck that are all handpicked items even the engrams so you don't get items that you have to buy for silver and barely any items were added to this event that you can acquire just playing the event, other than a tone of BS material for the event. Man! this is some lazy development.
When Bungie sold glows that is when I realized how stupidly selfish they have become and here this event is showing how they don't give a flying hoot about their player base having Cozmo/Dmg come on here pretending that "they care as if Eververse was a mistake". Whoops, our bad for the umpteenth time. No, the ones that think you are being clever, we all know no one has to buy anything from Eververs so stop using the stupid weak at best argument. It doesn't work and never will, It only makes you look really foolish knowing this is about offering a path that is reasonable and (stop using Eververse as a filler) because that lack of effort this company is willing to put in this game this last 6 months adding new loot to the loot pool in the rest of the game.
Dude, not even Ikora has a full set of weapons, a big whopping 4 weapons. What's with this half-baked nonsense with this company because there is a hell of a lot of half-baked content in this game? Edit: What is really screwed up about all this? Bungie will make small changes making some improvements as they usually do after every event. The thing about it though, I can almost guarantee when Dawning comes around they will pull the same childish game.

          • They just need to bring back seasonal and event engrams. Then everything will be just fine. Random item engrams for level ups, and real money if someone wants something right away.

          • I actually liked the vanilla eververse system, play to earn bright engrams or buy some if you wanted to, either way youd be getting that seasonal gear, Then they introduced the whole "eververse engrams will now drop the previous seasons cosmetics" which was fine i guess, I could still play to earn the cosmetic engrams or buy some if i wanted. But now they have this new season pass system, where you can really only earn a certain amount of cosmetic engrams (maybe six? Idk im not too versed). Im not rank 100 yet but the question ive been wondering is "what happens after you hit level 100?" Do you level up to earn cosmetic engrams? Is that it? Is the only way to get more locked behind spending money? See Idk how this season works as I'm only rank 29, so i don't know, but it just leaves me very unsure on wether I like the season pass system or not

            • You do know that bungie is independent right?2 things,1.nothing in the eververse makes you advantageous 2. How is bungie supposed to make money?what would you suggest? Ads in the game?thats the only thing I could think of. Honestly.. I find it crazy how pressed people are over eververse. I have no problem with micro transactions if it furthers the development of the game.

I do agree that Bright dust bounties are few and should drop more dust but the fact remains that all live service games need to make money to survive. I don't see why you are so outraged over the eververse...it's purely cosmetic, save up your Bright dust and buy a few things here n there...but don't expect to get all the seasonal eververse items for free.

                • calling people stupid for having the money to spend to buy the things they want sounds like broke people talk. thinking the crap Everversee sells is loot combined with the first part makes it look like the adjective should be applied to you....

                  • Do you realize that Bungie is now self published? Do you understand that a majority of D2 content is completely free to all players? Do you understand that D2 is a live service game that requires much more funding to manage, update, and maintain than a regular game? Do you understand that Bungie has salaries, bills, benefits, equipment, and expenses that need to be paid? Do you understand that D2 needs to produce a certain amount of income to remain financially viable and should it not the game will probably be shut down entirely? Do you realize that if eververse is removed that the price for ACTUAL CONTENT (i.e. not cosmetics) will most likely be doubled forcing EVERYONE to pay more? I know you’ll probably ignore virtually all of my points and call me a Bungie apologist or payed off drone, but hey, what else can you do when you don’t have any valid points to argue? TLDR; One way or another Bungie needs to make its profit, not because they’re “greedy” but because the have production costs. Either you pay for cosmetics, pay more for seasons or expansions, or Bungie stops producing D2 entirely.

Or, just don't buy anything. That's always an option. I've never bought silver and never plan to. But I also DGAF if Bungie wants to supplement their revenue stream by selling cosmetic items to fools. Lighten up Frances, Eververse doesn't affect you at all. "Real gamer" LMFAO, okay weeboo.

                        • Don't even need to do that all they need to do is give other vendors the same effort that is going into eververse. Right now only eververse is getting fresh stock, resets and updates

Aren't the Ninja's supposed to lock up these stupid Remove Eververse posts? So sick of seeing this crap. All this fake/petty drama over a optional cosmetic shop that removes useless garbage drops from the loot pool. Honestly who wants to go back to the days of destiny 1 of running a nightfall to get a ghost shell, ship or a sparrow you are never going to use instead of a gun or armor?
