After all the reveals recently, I have to admit I am pretty hyped for Destiny 2, although still cautious and won't preorder for obvious reasons - especially not before the beta. Yet I was thinking, this would be a perfect time in the franchise to introduce a new race. I've got no clue as to what it could be, yet the character customisation does need some new and fresh options for it. While we're on the subject of character customisation, does anyone know if bungie have said anything about new options? Would be a welcome little thing in September. In terms of the new race, I was thinking that it could be part of one of the factions outside of the tower in the wild, fighting off the darkness by themselves. If you wanted to choose this race, they would obviously not have been guardians and so would not start in the tower and would not be affected by the traveller shielding itself and taking the light away. Abilities wise, I was thinking more along the lines of technology we have currently - which would be salvaged technology they use do to being a faction in the wild - for example, drag grenades, a knife/axe melee attack maybe a super which allows you to use a powerful mini gun, yet still not sure about that one. As you start in the wild, the story could see you meet up with the guardians in some way, and help them with your abilities. Then, after meeting the leaders of the different classes, you could ask them to 'teach' you the abilities of that class (choosing that class as the permanent class of the character). Just an idea of some sort, Would like to see other peoples comments of ideas for a new race and/or how it could be introduced into the story and lore of the game.
