Add infuse to year one raid gear

Edit: I've read many of the replies that this post brought and decided to make it a little more specific see what you guys think and see if we can get a comment from Bungie. One very good point was made that all year one gear would be unfair because much of it is now unattainable thus new players wouldn't have the chance to get it. That's why i changed the title to yr1 raid gear. Another good point was that the raids would be too easy for those with current max light. So below i have a couple ideas. First bring hard mode for yr1 raids, Vault of Glass and Crota's End, up to par with yr2/yr3. Also only allow drops of the infuse versions of the raid gear drop in hard mode. Granted the armor perks may need to be reworked a little. The next suggestion I have is make the Primary raid weapons exotic and leave the perks and elemental damage just as they were before. Though I hope they leave the drop rates the same as I know some people played forever to get some of them. If this option is chosen they would also have the chance of returning elemental trials primary weapons by making them exotics as well. Thanks again for the likes guys. Hopefully we can get them to change their minds, fix this, and make some great gameplay relevant again. I understand that it would take time because of the changes that would have to be made. You advertise getting the whole collection with rise of iron the same as you did with ttk however no one plays the first 2 raids anymore because the gear is obsolete. With rise of iron or an update shortly after I'd love to see infuse be added to year one raid gear so new players can experience vault of glass and Crota's end and veterans have a reason to revisit them. Even if we only get armor infuse I'd be happy because everyone still has reason to play the old raids again and get rewards.

TL;DR at the bottom. From a development stand-point, they won't. The issue isn't time, or difficulty. The issue is that if the original raid guns were brought into line with our current ones, we'd stop using the new ones in favour of the ones with elements again. Making the point of making new loot, in a loot based game, pointless. And it's JUST the raid guns. They've slowly been giving us back weapons. Hell even the the BEST guns have come back to us. Imago Loop and Tread upon Stars are Fatebringer and Vision of Confluence just without an element. Black Spindle is Black Hammer, just as an exotic. The issue is, and only is elements. From a game and developement standpoint, not one of the players, that actually makes sense. However, they went about fixing it in completely the wrong way. The issue was: Guns with elements, in PvE we wouldn't use anything else. So what did they do? take them away. What else would have worked? Giving them to all guns. Why didn't they? to nerf us. Now, they weren't all that powerful, really. The other claim was that "they made special and heavy weapons less meaningful", while at the time this was ONLY really true when an Elemental Burn modifier was active, allowing Scouts and Hand Cannons to hit nearly as hard as sniper (as hard with Small Arms active), mostly only for the Nightfall activity, allowing us to clear tier 1 and 2 without even needing to pull out our 'big guns', to save all that ammo for the bigger guns on the bosses. However, while a Burn wasn't on (so, most of the game), this was almost strictly not true. While it helped make Primary weapons not balls bad against tier 2 shielded foes (but still kind of feel that way during an endgame activity), they by no means took rolls away from the bigger weapons. Even so, taking away the elemental damage wasn't enough for Bungie, they also reduced the bonus damage Guardians deal with elemental guns in general from x3 to x2. TL;DR Basically, they took them away from us strictly to make Nightfalls harder (or any mission with a burn on it). It was a nerf to overall player power, less than attempt to fix the "Weapon Diversity Issue".
