This isn't tongue-in-cheek, this isn't sarcastic, and this isn't even meant as a "haha you're stuck in the past" barb at the PS3 and 360 players.
I'm just legit amazed that you guys haven't gotten together and said, "This is not what we were promised when we invested $60 - $100+ in buying this game and the updates that it turned out. We're not going to settle for this treatment and this kind of exclusionary behavior, just because we're less financially-capable of buying a next-gen console."
Don't get me wrong, I 100% understand the hardware limitations that come with the older consoles, and I 100% understand that Destiny has just about reached that limitation on both machines. But it goes way beyond that, with all of the extra-steps they've been taking to proverbially cut the balls off of the last-gen players.
They could've honestly just left it at, "You won't be getting the next big expansion, because it just can't support what we're trying to do with it." But Bungie has seen fit to not only cross the line, but barrel across it and then piss all over it once they're on the other side.
> "You won't be getting exotics from Xur anymore."
> "You won't be playing Trials of Osiris anymore; you won't be getting Trials-Gear anymore."
> "You won't be playing Iron Banner anymore; you won't be getting Iron Banner-Gear anymore."
> "You won't be enjoying the live-events like Festival of the Lost anymore."
> "You won't be getting anymore updates to gear, and so you won't be getting higher light-levels anymore."
And that's just a few things to list off. Bungie has basically told you guys, "The game's over until you decide to upgrade. Now go piss up a rope." All of this is why I'm amazed that these two communities haven't gotten together and said, "No. -blam!- that shit. Class-Action Lawsuit."
Don't get me wrong; I'm on my Next-Gen console, personally. I'm 100% ready for the update and waiting eagerly for September. But as someone who's spent most of my life being stuck in "Last-Gen" situations, as far back as the PS2 era (I didn't get a PS2 of my own until almost 2005), I feel bad for you guys.
To me, this just seems like you're getting a bad cut, no matter how you slice it.

Hahahaha. That is all. Move along.

Editado por TRDoug: 7/30/2016 11:08:40 PMWhy are these posts still happening? Promised what? Bungie never said legacy consoles would be carried through the entire length of the franchise. Old gen is LUCKY they've made it this far.......Destiny should have been exclusive to next gen since the beginning Bungie owes legacy owners nothing. They've had over two years to upgrade, that's setting aside less than a dollar a day to be able to have enough saved up to upgrade before the cut off. And don't tell me most people can't do that.....a weekend away, a couple nights out, a few cartons of smokes or cases of booze, ten or fifteen trips to the movie theatre etc etc cost about the same if not MORE than a new console......it CAN be done
-
Do you realize how wrong you are after reading the responses to your post?
-
Tough, they were not made to pay for it and not get it. Making it a purchased expansion rather than free, like many argued that bungie's statement on the intro of silver should have made it so, likely protects them from just that.
-
You accepted the EULA. They could shut down all servers and there's nothing you could do about it.
-
Editado por Shadowdragon: 7/30/2016 10:19:40 PMThe world don't work like that. The moment you accepted the terms of service and policies, there's nothing more you can do. Either upgrade or get left behind. It's been that way since the 90s so if you have not accepted it now, you're in no business being a gamer.
-
lol I love the delusional crap in this forum.
-
Class action lawsuits don't work the way you think they do. But since you forgot you signed an eula stating you will not take any legal action against bungie/Activision or any of their subsidiaries, I'm assuming you don't understand how much of the world works.
-
Yea people can group up & spend way more money on a lawyer than they would on a current Gen console. The only downside is that once the lawyer reads the EULA, he'll tell them they don't have a case.
-
They do have a sxummy ass agreement u agree to before u get into the game... Assholes...
-
Oh murica. They'd sue the bed they sleep in if they could haha. Amusing delusions mate.
-
Because they realize that they've gotten probably at least a week of play time for $50. That's a good deal.
-
Read the EULA you agreed to. Bungie could literally cut the servers off for everyone tomorrow and there would be -blam!- all you could do about it. I know what you mean about the playlist lockouts, but thats been the modus operandi since TDB. It is what it is *shrug*
-
Because people are lazy and the world isn't fair
-
They're broke as -blam!- as is...where is the lawyer gonna come from?
-
I'm sure bungie has there legal issues under control.
-
Sony: "Sorry, you will need to upgrade your Cassette player to a CD player if you wish to listen to newer music content." User: "That's BS! You cant do that! I demand that you make all the new stuff that works on CD to work on my device that I paid for 10 (or so) years ago!" Me: *facepalm*
-
Im suprsed they can afford a law suit if they cant get a new console
-
I can't believe Destiny isn't on my next gen console. I mean come on. My PlayStation 5 is so powerful. It even has holographic technology.
-
They don't have money for a current gen console yet will somehow generate the funds for a major class action lawsuit? Hmmmm
-
You didn't add the satire tag
-
Xbone and PS4 are cheaper than they've ever been. And TTK is pretty heavily discounted. Not sure why people are unable to upgrade. It took me about 3 months to save up for everything at full price.
-
I don't think you understand what a Class Suit is, nor what qualifies.
-
Well thanks for the support. Unfortunately I just mark it up to being broke and a company that doesn't give a flying -blam!-. They already sold the one thing that saved Xboxes sorry ass, oh and it plays way better after bungee quit -blam!-in it up (y'all know what game im talking about)
-
Sorry, but everyone agreed to the EULA and ToS. Bungie has lawyers. I'm sure their lawyers helped them come up with both of those documents. Bungie can pretty much do what they want with the game. They can decide to completely take the servers down, and then, nobody will be playing. I do understand why old gen fans are upset (to an extent). At the same time, D2 was supposed to come out in Sept. They were going to have to switch anyway. I believe the only reason that we are getting RoI is because they pushed the release date on D2. It would explain the 6 month or so timeframe from the announcement of RoI until the release of RoI.
