Is it me or do some auto rifles feel weak in PvE and PvP still? Mainly speaking of the monte carlo/zarinaea-D type. I notice a huge difference if i switch to a pulse rifle, scout rifle or hand cannon as well as the higher impact archeatype of auto rifles (sadly this archeatype has low mag size). Maybe they need a little more tuning possibly? Thoughts and opinions?

Randomly did the daily rumble with my zarinaea-D and i won it,, weapon was pretty good in one on one duels as long as i stayed mobile and kept my aim true.

They could definitely use some more tweaking. They still aren't truly the close range "chainsaw" that they were meant to be. In PvE I think they are in a good place with the substantial damage buffs they recently received in that area. In PvP though they could still use a slight damage buff as whenever I'm using an auto I feel that I'm at a slight disadvantage even at the most effective range! (Unless I'm using the HardLight)

Auto riffles need a buff...bad

I use the Red Spectre but it's nothing compared to Hawkmoon/Red Death

I use Monte Carlo in pvp and it feel pretty good

The primary problem of the auto rifle class is that they were designed to be a multi-role weapon yet Bungie wants use using them only at close combat. As it stands why would anyone use the low impact with high stability and range over that of the Suros which now both the functionality of a long range rifle but the speed of a low impact one minus any of the negatives. What I would do is go back and redesign them overall so that that they provide a generally balanced stat spread in comparison with the other weapons. Basically they need to go back and instead of branching out archetypes on ARs they need to streamline them into one archetype.

It's just you. Auto Rifles are now on the best weapons in a strike (all hail the SUROS Regime) and in PvP they're pretty good(all hail the SUROS Regime).
You can tell I like the SUROS.
I can only speak on PvP: - stats should only serve as a basis, perks and the player determine a weapons effectiveness - I have SEEN the Monte Carlo SLAY people in PvP but then again I go toe to toe (if not kill the low impact high RoF user) - the high damage AR archetype is better in my opinion (coupled with the right perks) they are slayers ex. Original vendor Vanquisher (Pre-DLCs) Glass Half and Feeding Frenzy ex. Original from vendors Shadow Price/Grim Citizen ex. Trials' The Summoner Third Eye and Glass Half As far as Y2 goes, I haven't gotten my hands on worthy successors. Impact plays a big role but if you have RoF and say Glass Half, with close to max stability and high AA- you got yourself a keeper. I haven't found that golden egg yet :)
