They could definitely use some more tweaking. They still aren't truly the close range "chainsaw" that they were meant to be. In PvE I think they are in a good place with the substantial damage buffs they recently received in that area. In PvP though they could still use a slight damage buff as whenever I'm using an auto I feel that I'm at a slight disadvantage even at the most effective range! (Unless I'm using the HardLight)

I think they need to have a more consistent fast RoF (pulse rifles seem to be faster at times) with slightly less recoil. The spread should be tight upfront, but less accurate at distances. That's what I thought they were supposed to be after the patch, but were never realized.
