Worst Raid Experience Ever

Firstly, my apologies to the other 5 Guardians whose time and ammo I wasted. So I have avoided watching any tutorials past Golgoroth as up until last night, I have been running through with clanmates and generally trying to figure our way through for at least the first couple attempts. In the wee morning hours (after my own raid group ran up through the Basilica) and we had split up for the evening, I saw a friend raiding in a group of 5. With no idea where they were at, I sent a pm asking if they wanted +1. Getting an invite back, I came down into Oryx's throne room, a place I had seen in KF once before thanks to someone sharing an Oryx cp before we started a fresh run, so we could see how that fight started. We tried a handful of times as the guy with the cp walked up through but we were all semi-underleveled any way undergunned, unable to get Oryx to even flinch... Anyways, there I am landing with this unfamiliar fireteam and I'm asked if I've been here, to which I reply, one time. But we didn't beat it and didn't get too far in. "Good enough, clear adds and let's go" was the group opinion and I'm like, can do. Which was absolutely not the case as the Daughter's fight then starts which I was completely unprepared for. As they're calling out instructions, I'm jumping around like an idiot, and getting mocked pretty heartily for being one. We wipe, I let them know I was all kinds of messed up and expecting Oryx and we try again after a quick explaination of the bare minimum fight details. A few tries later and the Witches are dead, no thanks to my "assistance" which was minimal to say the least. I'm actively trying to learn but this crew had experience and little interest in carrying or teaching and as my mic was now having issues, I couldn't even effectively communicate. Oryx starts and I'm listening to "kill adds, help on Ogres" and so I do... get totally caught up on watching Ogres and our obe attempt three platform rotations in finally wipes with the relic holder (whom I still have no idea what their job is) gets annihilated by adds. I get blamed (rightly so, 12 kills, albeit 5 of them Ogres) and pretty ruthlessly made fun of and degraded (upsetting but really, kinda understandable) and then promptly booted to Orbiyly, with a closing comment made of "if you don't know the Raid, you shouldn't be raiding". Initially, I was pissed and convinced they were a bunch of elitist asshats but, I now feel like it was 100% my fault. Again, sorry for wasting your time and next time I join strangers, I will NOT be clueless, worthless and so gd scrubby. Tl;dr: Raiding with randoms it is a common courtesy to be well-versed in the mechanics. Figure the raid out with your friends on your time. Otherwise, BE PREPARED!
