I just wanted to say thank you! Thank you for setting a mission in the raid location so us solo players can still explore the environment even if we can’t raid! Thank you!

1 ReplyEdited by Chris Dragon: 3/8/2022 3:14:56 PMI agree, I don't have the skill to do Raids or patience to put up with a bunch of tryhards who blast by everything as fast as they can, so this was actually a fun little mission that allows us misanthropes to experience and enjoy at least part of the raid we will likely never do. Bungie, despite my gripes, I thank you. I would love more of this sort of thing.

I raid and still found it pretty neat. Wish they had all the encounters though. Replacing Caretaker and Rhulk with skorn bosses ofc.

4 RepliesEdited by WulfPak666: 3/7/2022 1:04:22 PMI would actually love if Bungie did more missions like this that essentially "teach" you the raid mechanics. Like this week it somewhat gets your feet wet with how the 1st encounter works. It would be nice if in future missions you fought dumbed down version of the Caretaker and Rhkul so people will be more familiar with the raid mechanics and LFG would be less of a proverbial 💩 show.

I agree. It was nice to see the layout of raid locations. On this bravo Bungie

3 RepliesReusing assets shouldn't be applauded. People like you are why they still do it. Anyone with a functional brain can go into the raid right now and fight their way to the obelisk point and you need nobody but yourself to do it.

14 RepliesEdited by whateverman7: 3/7/2022 9:18:29 PMWhile I agree I like they give people a chance to experience the raid to help them be more comfortable in it, I disagree about it being for solo players. At this point, I think people use that as an excuse for why they don't things in the game. I say that because I'm a solo player and have done a good amount of raids, including being a sherpa. It's easy to get a group together on lfg, just be honest. That goes for the lfg post starters to the ones looking for a group to join. If you're honest, most players will play with you. That's the part that makes it hard for people. Their egos won't let them be honest with others about what they know/ don't know in a raid. I'm speaking from experience. Ex: there's been times I've joined lfg posts that said 'must have x amount of clears, kwtd, be whatever level, etc' cause I wanted to get a raid done quickly, and figured the person asking for those/ people joining would mean just that. Once we got in there though, I'd learn that the lfg starter poster wouldn't even meet the requirements, or people that joined wouldn't meet them. How I learn that? We'd get to an encounter, and once we started asking who wanted to do what, people would be quiet. Then when someone would take the lead and assign roles, people would pretend they knew what to do, until we failed a bunch, then would say they didn't know how to do something, smh. That's when people get pissed and leave cause time has been wasted cause you lied. Ex of the opposite: joined groups with requirements and people were honest about what they knew/ didn't know. The rest of the group was cool with it, and had no problem teaching/ showing what to do. Why? Cause people were honest up front. With that said, only create and/or join groups you meet the requirements.

I agree. Very very nice. Loved that mission and my hopes are we will be cycled through all raid encounter locations. Which we shall see today after reset...

4 RepliesSpeaking of which... Are all of the audio logs/lore entries available through the Preservation mission, or do you have to do the raid?

23 RepliesEdited by Tis-but-a-scratch: 3/7/2022 12:16:01 PMPlayed it last night. Enjoyed the scenery, hated the enemy (as I was solo) but I got it done. Worst part, I received a crappy short range fusion with slideways for my efforts. Instantly deleted. So not worth my time. Should have been a better pool of weapons and perks.

1000 times yes! It was so fun, and I wasn't expecting it. This was my raid!
-
As a pretty diehard raider, I agree. I hope they do this more often.

6 RepliesTotally, Did it for the first time yesterday and the 1500 second count down, perfect.

4 RepliesIt's pretty cool, and a great intro. Lore items in the Pyramid museum was awesome!! Loved it. Interactive, inquisitive. Time to explore. Honestly. It was unexpected and fantastic. This needs to be expanded upon. Story missions for raid training. Easy, normal, and hard raid modes. Matchmaking for easy. Raids are arguably the best content in the game (although legendary story in this expansion is SUPERB). Give more players the chance to experiance them.

Agree kinda like raid tutorial

Very cool. Didn't watch any videos, so went in blind. Got lost, found the Scorn and 'lots of them'. Fun solo mission. But! Too bad the weapon crafting aspect of the quest is so bugged. Hoping for 'good fix' on Thursday, but increasing the drop rate by 0.001 % is not my idea of fixing bad RNG. If there's a mandatory quest required to advance, weapons should drop automatically on completion. No RNG!

3 RepliesEdited by KevSlinger: 3/7/2022 6:46:13 PMDo I need to have the evidence board at a certain stage or something to have access to this? Mine said I could not play it yet. I’ll freely admit I didn’t examine the board or anything just noticed I couldn’t access the mission and figured I’d look into it today so as to play it tonight. Edit; okay so I’ll go check the Evidence board later for new intel.

I'm a solo player too, but I'd be up for a go at the Raid....

Yea that was great 100%

1 ReplyWhat mission?

Coming soon in 2024: sunsetting part 2

4 RepliesI played it thinking it was a story mission from the campaign and all through it I'm like this looks like the raid , I didn't play this. It infuriated me being one shot but I got through it just to run into the 3 bosses at the end lol. Cool mission and interesting truth discovered

6 RepliesYeah, there was a whole lot of interesting stuff going on inside. Really glad they came up with a way to let solo players check it out. Also just want to point out how amazed I am at how good this game looks on PS4.
