Just use lfg or guided games

Optional mm for NF and normal level raid. For everything else, there needs to be an in-game LFG system.

I personally think that nightfall matchmaking would be a better option as raid matchmaking would be horrible. For a few reasons 1 you could end up with people who either care to much about finishing the raid fast, ie the type that don't like teaching people how to do the raid and generally impatient, you know the 10 RAID CLEARS OR MORE cucks who overflow the lfg forums 2 Getting a bunch of kids who either don't know what they are doing 3 getting people who do know what they are doing but will intentionally throw the run first chance they get (yes ive played with these kinds of people) 4 People who are willing to help you learn or figure out the raid but will absolutely snap at anyone for doing one thing wrong or at least comment on it in a very passive aggressive manor. 5 people who refuse to listen to advice/ don't follow directions or pay attention in general These kinds of people are the kind you will more then likely meet and ruin your raid experience but then there's type 6, people who will actually help you get the raid done and explain how to do every bit of it and help you out. That teach you nice tricks to help make encounters way easier then you thought possible.but these people can only be found in clans OR guided games Nightfalls are easy dont require much communication. I've beaten Leviathan and EOW plenty of times to tell you that not only do you have to be on your A game but also that EVERY person has to be able to relay information, call out for help exc IN EVERY encounter except the few platforming sections of the Eow. Doing either with randoms will result in you sitting there with a mix of elitist dickhead's, trolls, squeakers, or any combo of the mentioned. Its better if people just join a raiding clan that can teach people the mechanics and learn over time and actually succeed then getting a group of randoms together that CLAIM to know what they are doing

The biggest reason I don't raid is because I don't have a regular team, and the last thing I would ever try is matchmaking for a raid. I get enough bad teammates in PvP, strikes, PoE back in Destiny 1, and the last thing I want is to play with those players when there are mechanics involved. However, I am a fan of options, and it doesn't hurt me or anyone else for there to be an option for matchmaking.

Why would raid matchmaking be any improvement ? The likely hood of any success is minimal. Either way I don't care but that is no magic bullet. Try a few heroic strikes and take a good look at the randoms you join with, wront class, wrong weapons, wrong supers with no real comprehension how things work. Times that by two and add in a load of mechanics etc

Not having matchmaking for the nightfall is pretty stupid. Especially considering it’s often *easier* than heroic strikes and gives better rewards. Not sure on the raids, if I recall the raids are all about coordinated shooting right? That would be a bad idea for randoms unless they change the raids to be a bunch of bullet sponge enemies with very basic mechanics and remove requirements for any sort of coordinated puzzles.

We don't need matchmaking for pinical activities, we need 100% in game lfg instead.

Yes it should be available. For those against it, just don’t use it. Get your full fireteams the way you do now. But for those who need more people, being forced into out of game apps is tiresome.

For the normal nightfall, yeah sure. It's become a joke at this point. For the raid, prestige nightfall, and other activities of the sort? Hell no. These require communication, and Destiny has a history of people in matchmaking refusing to talk to teammates. What they need to do is improve upon the guided games system a bit. I tried it out for myself to see what it is like as a solo player going in, and I came back after 45-60 mins of "matchmaking" to see it was still matchmaking me. Not enough people use it because a low % of player count actually play raids, but the system is bad to begin with.
