Hundreds Of People Banned
Seen hundreds of posts for the past 6 hours since launch of people getting banned unintentionally. Why have these not been lifted? This is crazy. Or at least give us a time frame? From what I can see I didn't break the terms of service and also never knew about this overlay thing. It was never told to anyone. Just clicked play and got banned for having geforce open because I updated my gpu driver to the destiny 2 one. Been waiting for hours now and no response from blizzard. Also from what I saw on the bungie posts a "ban" is permanent. So I may as well refund no? Give me a time frame

11 RepliesIn Destiny there are account restriction and bans. Restrictions are only temporary but must be waiting out while bans are permanent. Please note that Bungie will not discuss or overturn account restrictions or bans. my acc get banned for no reason i swear god Hello « bungie support» I would like to tell you that morning I opened my game destiny 2 and I got a message that said I was banned from the game but the problem is that the message was not clear and it have no cause about the ban like im sure its a mistake because im not stupid to cheat in a 80euro game its alot plus i really love the game i start playing this game from the first destiny on xbox360 belive me im not lying and im a big fan of your games specially halo 4 i love that game and i never had a probleme before im a clean player please just tel me what is the probleme and if i really deserve this ban just tel me why i just wana know the probleme because it really hurts to be banned from a game that i was economising money to buy it please undertand me im not rich to buy it again and im sure i ididnt cheated or somethink please guys check my game files or check my game inventory like i swere god i didnt use any third persone programes or something im sure i didnt do any think illegale if i really cheated i will not try to defende my self and just to know destiny2 is so glitched i had a really crazy glitch like get ckeeked from the game for no reason like a lote and one time my hunter get stuck under ground like when i spawn my body is under ground and im stuck please guys i know you are understandable guys so i repeat please guys take the right decision ... this is a message from a big fan my pseudo on blizzard is "divinity" ty guys hope this mistake will be fixed because i'm really shocked thank you guys much love bye:=)

1 ReplyWonder if one of the mods were one of the banned accounts. Probably not due to the favoritism these companies have with their volunteers, but imagine. An unreversable ban on somebody who defends the bans to the death saying they're hand picked.

Contact blizzard for a refund if possible. This is how bungie works now, as long as they have your money they don’t give two shits about you. Get a refund and never give them another cent.

I updated my graphics driver after playing all day. 15 minutes later I log back in and get banned 10 minutes into it. What a great product: Hey you! Want better D2 performance?? Come download this driver update. You'll get banned for doing it but hey those 10 minutes youll have 5 more frames per second.. complete joke. Bungie needs to address this now.

So here is what exactly was running on my pc at the time I received my instant ban before even being able to play the game and I've included my pc specs to show that my hardware shouldn't be an issue. Also note that when my ban happened I was actually live broadcasting via Twitch on my regular schedule. Software list: Win10 Pro x64 Advanced Systemcare Corsair Utility Engine (for my Harpoon mouse) MSI X Boost (motherboard utlity) MSI Gaming App (Also a mobo utility) OBS x64 ( running in display cap mode because game cap doesn't work due to 'program hooks') Adobe Audition CC 2015 ( I run all my audio through this) StreamLabels Chatty (Twitch Chat Client) Snaz (Dynamic Text for OBS) Discord (with Overlay disabled) foobar2000 (stream music) Last.fm Scrobbler (linked to panel on my Twitch channel that shows music being played) Battlenet Launcher Destiny 2 Hardware specs: MSI x370 Carbon Gaming Pro mobo Ryzen 5 1600 CPU 16GB GSkill Ripjaws V ram EVGA GTX 1060 6GB GPU (w/ Precision XOC off) Samsung EVO 850 256GB ssd (OS drive) Seagate 250GB HDD (media/music/obs overlay art and animations) WD Black 2TB HDD (games only from uPlay, Steam and Blizzard) So as you can see from that list, not a damned thing nefarious about it. Like I said, I was, in fact, live on Twitch when I switched my game over from Euro Truck Simulator 2 to start Destiny 2 at launch time. I even went as far as to make sure Steam was fully shut down before I even started the Blizz launcher. After all of this, I think that I deserve a better explanation then what Bungie has given us. I know that I haven't done anything to break ToS or to break the game. This is incredibly disappointing not only as a gamer but from a content creation standpoint. I spent months of my time hyping this game to everyone around me, whether I was live on Twitch or in person. I urged people to buy the PC edition to join me in game. But this whole experience has not only soured it for me, but I've already had friends returning physical copies of the PC game unopened (some being Collector's Editions) because of my experience. All I want is an explanation and whether I can finally play the game I spent $120.00 CAD on for a Deluxe Edition or if I can at least get my money back so I can put into a different game and forget Bungie existed.
