Last night on Ark
So last night (Saturday, February 6th, In the AM) I was taming a level 4 female carno because I would like to start farming carno eggs. I am level 72, and have quite a few 100+ mounts (including a Direwolf that tamed at 164 because of kibble), im not a noob lol. While taming this carno, I saw chat blow up, starting with some guy summoning the broodmother (boss) at green tower.
Now, for those unaware, when a boss is spawned, it doesnt despawn, and will wander the server, wrecking everything until it is finally killed. This was personally a big deal because I have friends in another tribe who live really close to the green obelisk where the broodmother was summoned.
The guy who summoned the broodmother was clearly a scrub as he only had a pteranodon, sabertooth, and an argentavis. Im assuming he took the artifacts needed to summon the boss from a player who quit. This guy didnt even help kill the boss.
All the major tribes in my server got together to clean up this dudes mess, and it was a serious challenge because nobody was prepared at the time.
I was taming that carno for maybe half an hour into the battle before the taming was done, and the broodmother apparently regenerated pretty much all of its health after a really short time. Im assuming too many people backed off at once to get stamina, food, or health.
Anyways, I carried my new carno home with my quetz and then flew to green obelisk with 3 100+ pteranodons after I emptied my fridges of raw meat to literally feed the battle (I shared at least 500 raw meat with the public). One of my tribe members was already there fighting with his 100+ pteranodon, and so many others were there. We fought for maybe half an hour after I got there. There must have been at least 4 argentavis', 3 pteranodons, 3 rexs, and a spino; all jumping this boss at a time, not to mention the other players shooting rifles and crossbows from a distance. I was delivering so much sustained damage, switching between pteranodons whenever mine was low on health or stamina.
It finally died at 3am EST, and everyone was so happy. Someone even pulled out a flare-gun and popped it like fireworks lol. My server has never been so united. All the major names usually get along, but now we all respect eachother greatly I think.

It was badass.
Theres icing on the cake too, Big-D clan found a lvl 104 male rex for me, which I had been hunting for for 3 days (i wanted a 100+ rex, but 120 female would have been the best). They spotted it maybe 15-20 minutes after our success with the broodmother. I immediately headed for it and solo-tamed it using kibble. Its black and red, and it tamed at around level 150 because of that taming effectiveness.
Last night on Ark was so awesome..

8 RepliesI found a lvl 6 player wandering the beach, picked him up with my argy and carried him to our snake pit. Dropped him in, switched to game chat and told him it was gladiator and he would win a prize for killing the lvl 80 titanoboa. He was hilarious about the whole thing and actually came really close to winning. Found it so funny I tracked him down and gave him a set of ramshackle metal tools.

I love ark. So a couple weeks ago my buddy and I got really pissed at our tribe so we left. We then proceeded to raid anyone and everyone we didn't like. We have had people on our server try to do this before but nothing to this degree. We were friendly with one tribe and gave them everything we didn't need to keep raiding. Within two weeks our server went from a busy full server down to roughly 60 active members and it looks like a -blam!-ing boneyard. We are now the most hated people on the server but have no real fear of being raided. I love this game. It is just too much fun. We regularly buzz around people to piss them off and have been given stuff to have us not hit them. We are also now kind of paid hit men lol. You can do anything in this game it's all up to your imagination and how much you're willing to piss someone off lol.

3 RepliesI actually didn't know the broodmother DOESNT despawn..... Might have to use that to my advantage soon (I'm on PvP server) Also why pterandons?is it better then rex's? For her? I have 81 giga but not sure if I got the man power to. Got 4 Rex's but around level 70's. Also gg on that,something nice happened to my tribe too. Somet ribe that quit(inactive) ended up coming back and gave us all their Dino's. And let us loot their base. 2 quetz,5 argys,kangaroo(can't remember name) penguins,167 frog and some other ones for eggs. Also they had soooo much eggs,ended up having 180rex eggs and 210 argy eggs, and a few scorp eggs.the perfect tame is soon upon me! At around 120 at least.

14 RepliesTonight on ark. I logged on, checked the tribe log as usual after seeing my Dino's in weird positions. It turned out someone tried to raid my base. I figured it was the tribe that my Dino's killed so I went to chat asking what's up, as we were friendly with this tribe as they are the second biggest on the server. They then told me the story of COS who decided they were going to raid everyone, including the two biggest tribes. BK(second biggest) hunted these mutants down to kill them. They happened to be attacking our base, which er just got up and running so no turrets yet. They fended off COS while we were offline and nothing was stolen. The most upsetting part is we built a cage on top of a huge pillar with a cage on top with admin access only enables(I demoted him so he couldn't open it) to trap my brother in just to piss him off. They managed to kill him inside the cage. I was very upset as this was the best prank we could think of with the resources we had.

4 RepliesEdited by Space Jesus: 2/8/2016 7:25:57 PMThe best thing to use against the broodmother is a high level Giganotosaurus. This is coming from someone that has been playing it on PC since September. If you don't already know, the Giganotosaurus is capable of going into rage mode. This rage mode upgrades its health regeneration, melee damage, stamina, and movement speed. Once it reaches this rage mode it is nearly impossible to kill. The only problem is that when the Giganotosaurus goes into rage mode it will turn against anything in its tribe and it will throw off any player riding it. The best thing to do is to allow it to fight the broodmother itself and you just sit back and watch. I recommend having it over lvl 200. At this lvl it can take on the broodmother alone and can take an extremely large amount of time to get to low health. It can literately one shot every single Araneo the Broodmother spawns. Of course though, if you feel doubtful about this whole situation, then it is best to not even do it. I will post a link of someone on youtube completing this task.
