What is a brood mother? Is it a Dino or some hell spawn that looks like it's from DOOM

Definitely hell spawn from doom lol. Its a massive acid-spitting spider that gives birth to smaller spiders during combat. The broodmother will wander the server raising hell until it is put to an end. As my post implies, it takes a lot to take one down. To make matters worse, the one we killed was only level 12. I couldnt imagine a level 100 or 120...
