4 Replieshalo should just end.
-
4 Replies1- MS would never sell Halo 2- Bungie don't want to make Halo games 3- Bungie's storytelling was sub-par 4- *cough*halo2*cough* 5- Bungie broke their own canon with Reach 6- Halo 3 had no story for 1/3 of the game In short, my answer is... No.

New IP > all

I doubt Bungie even want to. Or at least not to continue making Halo games. They'd buy it just to let the franchise die.
-
I want Bungie to focus on making exciting new things like they are.
-
Yes they should buy it back
-
From a story perspective, no. From a gameplay perspective, yes.

1 ReplyPRAIZE BUNGEE

Well Honestly I'm Not Even Sure.......

3 RepliesSeriously does these threads never end.

5 RepliesAs much as I hate to admit it, Halo is done. Halo 3 really ended the trilogy. Halo Reach was a great game, and really explained how the war began. Halo 4 was good, but it wasn't something that really grabbed peoples attention because the story was already over. In the end, I will still buy halo, as its my favorite series, but destiny will probably be my new one.

It will not end because they make it what it is And bungie if they continue and some of us believe that they could make even better And many don't believe that they will continue you guys believe in 343i and you think halo games will be more like that But the real people behind halo that we know is bungie.bungie is halo Not 343i

Edited by TheOnlyAzure: 3/7/2014 8:58:14 PMI say no let them move on because honestly the story and lore is a lot better now IMO. Now with multiplayer 4 wasn't the best but I think in the next Halo it will be better.

Edited by Lord Lebeeze: 3/6/2014 2:48:13 AMIt seems to me like the next 10 years will be quite a busy time for bungie already! Where would they fit in making a new halo game?

Halo series is done. As is cod. U can only play the same shit so many times.

i really hated halo 4 and want bungie back
Looks like you are very much in the minority :( The level of hate bungie have dumped on the halo brand since leaving is amazing. Calling it a "disastrous flaming turd of failure", and you want these boys back ?? Ask yourself - why do they say this now, why didn't they do something about it then, or why not since (compensation - note of sorrow - in H3, ODST, Reach ?!?) ...

3 RepliesWhile Bungie is the better team for Halo, I am happy that they are doing something new. I know that Bungie can't publicly say this, but I am sure they are a tad upset with the loss. Personally, I think that 343 is going to run Halo through the ground all the way to the core of the Earth. It's a shame, really. There is nothing we can really do about it and Bungie will rise to the top again with Destiny. Rest in peace, Halo. You were some of the greatest years of my life.

In my opinion, Halos CE - Reach were fantastic. I loved them. That being said, I think Halo is being pushed a bit. Halo 5 will be the 8th game in the series. They had a great run.
-
2 RepliesI want more games like Halo Reach.

No. While I despise Halo 4 and love the Halo's Bungie made (even with their minor flaws), I think it's right that Bungie is done with Halo. Bungie has made it clear that they were wanting to move beyond Halo for quite some time before they handed off the series. Why force them to develop a franchise that they're tired of running? But having said that, we also know that Bungie still loves Halo. But you can still love something and know that it's time for it to end. I loved Breaking Bad, but after a while it had to end to preserve the integrity of the story and characters. Same thing with Halo. Bungie was done. They wanted to try new things, stretch their wings (so-to-speak) and reach higher than Halo. In order to do that, they had to become their own independent studio again and break free from Microsoft ownership. The price of that was to sign over Halo. It was a "win" from both sides. If Bungie had been forced to still develop Halo when they were beyond that franchise as a studio, then we'd have atill received a sub-par Halo experience. Why? Because their hearts wouldn't be in it any more. So no, OP. I don't think Bungie should buy the rights to Halo. I don't think they should really ever work on Halo again. they're beyond that. They've told the story they wanted to tell with their Halo games, and they were done long before ODST and Reach came about. While they still put their hearts and souls into those last two Halo games, you could tell that they were ready to move on. While I agree that it's a damn shame how 3fail3 is gutting the franchise only to appeal to unskilled masses of casuals, that may just be what Halo needs in order to finally die. to fade quietly into the night. But I do not believe that Bungie should ever touch Halo again. (besides, do you realize the size of the retcon they would need to enact in order to fix the abortion that 3fail3 has made of the series?) *shudders*

1 ReplyHah no. Their Destiny lies within a new game.
-
I don't. Move on and come out with new games. Halo 12, BF Liberation 4, and COD 13 is just depressing as a thought if gaming as a whole can't come up with new block buster universes to explore.
-
Well honestly I would want both companys to work on it

Edited by FairlySplendid: 2/14/2014 10:19:13 PMI hate to burst your bubble but after Bungie and MS split ways MS offered to sell the IP to Bungie. They politely turned down the offer. Jason Jones mentioned it in one of the first interviews he did after Bungie formally announced Destiny. It seems pretty clear that Bungie is ready to move on and make something new.

NO I DON'T ALSO TYPING IN CAPS DOESN'T MAKE THE CONVERSATION MORE NOTICEABLE. It is just very annoying

They should, but they won't. lolReach may have been Shadowrun 3, but at least they didn't turn it into a full-blown class-based shooter, turn their forums into a totalitarian hellhole, completely ignore the community when it came to feedback (they may have not done anything to fix the issues, but they knew people were complaining, and they couldn't do anything about it anyway due to the transition to 343i), or put an incompetent Community Mananger in place (Dee J is okay, but Urk was an asshole, and so was the other one that I forgot his name, but at least they didn't act so oblivious to the community's wants and needs).
