As much as I hate to admit it, Halo is done. Halo 3 really ended the trilogy. Halo Reach was a great game, and really explained how the war began. Halo 4 was good, but it wasn't something that really grabbed peoples attention because the story was already over. In the end, I will still buy halo, as its my favorite series, but destiny will probably be my new one.
Halo Reach was a great game, and really explained how the war began.
The war didn't even begin on Reach. And there's a book which actually explained the events of Reach called The Fall of Reach which was written years before the game was made. Halo reach actually contradicted multiple points in the Fall of Reach.
Halo 4 was good, but it wasn't something that really grabbed peoples attention
That clearly isn't true.
because the story was already over.
*The Human-Covenant War story is over. Halo's lore is a lot bigger than just the Human-Covenant War.

I liked the story they did for halo 4, but the multiplayer was awful compared to Reach and 3, hope 343 steps it up

Actually reach wasn't the beginning of the war, it was a prelude to the events right before halo CE. However, the war started on a planet called harvest.
