The graphics are godawful on everything except the character and clothing models, the story is a pile of crap, the dialogue is cringey at best, the gunplay is all over the place and the missions are drab.
It’s like if Volition decided to remake SR2, but only using the bad parts and getting a teenager to write the story based on whatever topics were trending on tumblr that week.
However the customisation is a fat notch above either SR3 or 4, and still way ahead of most other games tbh, and that’s all I play Saints Row for at the end of the day. So I can be a fat power ranger slaughtering police with a hot pink pick-axe.
Solid 6/10
Also the bugs are annoying

Feels very dated alright.

2 RepliesI’m enjoying it. Not done yet but I don’t really have any complaints. Just replayed 3 and 4, and to be honest my impression is it’s just more Saints Row. Have had to restart a mission once because the game froze but not seeing anything like the game breaking bug my SR4 copy liked to do where no people or vehicles would spawn in the game world until I deleted and reinstalled the game.

1 Replynothing made me internally die more than hearing the “darn it” sequence when you were driving home

4 RepliesEdited by TheArtist: 9/2/2022 5:35:44 PMSome games just don’t age well. The Diablo 2 remake was a disappointment too. Not because it was bad. It’s that the game just didn’t age gracefully. What was fun 20 years ago, isn’t as much fun today.
