15 RepliesEdited by Kronos645: 9/1/2022 11:44:37 PMDo people realize that not all supers are meant for boss damage? What happened to class identity arguments? Everyone just wants their character to nuke everything. It’s a coop game, work with a team. Otherwise, grab a character that does the giant dps boss melting stuff that you want?

2 RepliesI just feel that if you NEED Geomags to make Chaos Reach a viable DPS super, it better be in the top 3 for highest DPS since it's long lasting, leaves you completely exposed the entire time you're using it and using means you cant use any of your weapons during the average Boss DPS phase.

I think it’s weird that arc warlock has to long animation supers. Hunter has roam and insta, titan has roam and insta. Let warlock have that as well. Maybe make chaos a massive storm grenade over a larger area with the duration of hunters gathering storm? They need a fire and forget super so they can use heavy weapons after like titan and hunter. I think every class should have a clear path. One for roam, and one for insta boss damage. Locked into an animation is a dos loss of the super isn’t doing damage. I know warlock basically exists for well at this point but I play all three classes want to see them all have options. I feel like when I am on my lock or titan, I either have to play well or bubble lol

3 RepliesI really like that Gathering Storm, when compared to Chaos Reach, does more damage, deals it passively, takes less time to do it and charges faster. You can just add its numbers to whatever DPS setup you're using, whereas Chaos Reach is less effective than shooting your guns.

2 RepliesHow many times do we have to say it?
warlocks are NOT the damage class
-
2 RepliesThat's fine, as long as they nerf the new Warlock arc melee in pvp.. arc Hunter n Titan needs pvp nerfing too, not just Warlocks.
-
2 RepliesNah. Bring my well nerd.
-
2 RepliesWarlocks are about ability spam. Not super power
-
8 RepliesNah even after the needed buff a whinelock always finds something to complain about

4 RepliesEdited by Illuminary: 9/1/2022 1:27:11 PMIf players play the class correctly they still get to have fun with the kit the game has developed for them. I am not even remotely a Bungie shill but not every single super needs to do big d!ck damage. Use your damn heavy weapon; Taipan can be shaped so easily and it's basically a Reed's Regret. Use the arc mod for extra super damage and jolt the enemies first. Begging like a baby isn't going to make Bungie redesign the class, they can't, they don't have the skill for it. The only super that needs to be buffed or fixed is day break. That is completely useless with it's ultra high cool down, trash tracking, and absolute abysmal damage.

2 RepliesThat is just an extremely near-sighted way of looking at things. By that logic wouldn’t there also be no downside to buffing hunter or titan super damage? Why not just buff the damage if everything so that everything is better! Well then nothing has improved relative to the rest of the sandbox, and the game just got easier and faster-paced. I’m not completely opposed to buffing CERTAIN supers in pve, but you have to be careful about how you do it. For example I don’t think a flat increase to Chaos Reach’s damage is really fair since it already does substantial damage and is easier and safer to use than other damage supers. However, I would like them to double down on the idea of arc warlock abilities getting enhanced when amplified, so Chaos Reach could deal additional damage and blind enemies (both with the laser itself and the explosions on kills) while amplified. Stormtrance could get increased damage and farther ionic blink distance while amplified. I would also like to see some other super buffs in pve, such as a reduction in energy cost for attacking with Daybreak, and maybe an increase to its pve damage. As for other classes, I think Fists of Havoc desperately needs a damage buff and possibly another buff (here’s an idea, make Eternal Warrior grant the old Trample perk to extend the duration, effectively buffing the super and the exotic both at once). Also, I don’t recall Arc Staff getting much of a damage with arc 3.0, so I assume that super is still weak in pve.

But then salty hunter/titan mains don't get to feel super duper special and laugh at warlock mains being upset that their favourite class is designated well -blam!- and nothing else.
-
5 RepliesWhile they're at it buff first of havoc. It's up there for the worst super still
-
Then who will bring my well???
-
Just give them a exotic that improves Nova bombs damage and speed (Basically Lance). I’d also like to see Celestial Nighthawk get a buff, because that thing feels pathetic right now which is a shame because it used to be one of my favourite exotics.

4 RepliesPlease include your expected damage values in relation to the other supers.
-
4 RepliesOh yeah increase that damage. Then whinelocks will be back next week wanting more super damage.
-
What could be cool is a rework to geomags for chaos reach to be like a massive lightning strike from your hand. Maybe a bit more damage but letting it all just release at once makes it way more viable in a dps phase as you can fire it off, get orbs on the ground and maybe fire it off again. plus using your heavy weapon can still be done. Rather than just floating in the air for 10 seconds waiting for the super to finish.
-
There is, you spending the entire damage phase doing your super lol for subpar damage
-
The biggest downside is that it's a benefit to warlocks
-
I’m pro super buff.
-
Warlocks should have no happy. That makes me happy.

19 RepliesDamage doesnt make fun. I'd sacrifice the arcstaff yeet damage anyday for arc warlock builds.
