Before anyone tells me to get good or calls me a scrub let me start off by saying this, I play a fairly decent amount of crucible. Usually in the top 3 while maintaining an overall K/D of 1.0 or higher. I'd say I'm a decent player and destinydb rates me at a 13, I rarely use shotguns or fusion rifles mainly snipers. I never call any gun OP I just find ways to outgun it. The new vanquisher however need tweaked or nerfed. I'm not saying the gun is OP because I don't have it and I haven't used it. Something is up with it though, it's unbalanced in some sort of way. I kept getting killed by it and kept trying to find ways to beat it. It seemed as though unless I sniped the user it would outgun me. I just kept trying. My final straw was when I picked up heavy ammo and was going against it with a corrective measure, the vanquisher outgunned a heavy machine gun and I had the drop on him. I self ressed to finish him off, smacked the guy beside me killing him and picking up the shield. The guy with the vanquisher had half health and gunned down my shield and killed me. I killed him at the same time but for him to outgun a suros with me having my shield and him having next to no health is ludacris. No there was nobody else around, no there was no lag, no there was no other source of damage. I know how to play, and I know about strafing, and other methods of winning firefights. This gun is just crazy, I don't know if it's the rate of fire or the impact but something about it needs tweaked. I'm hoping to pick it up tonight and see for myself. I'll edit with more comments afterwards. Edit: after getting the new vanquisher I realized that the heavy incident was probably lag. I actually ended up sharding it because it would never be used and it would take up space in my vault. The gun is horrid lol.
