What kind of computer should I buy for college?
I am going for an art degree for animation and plan on having adobe products such as after effects to run on this computer. I was recommended by the department head to get a MacBook Pro but I am still considering other options. What would you recommend?

You don't need a mac you can run all the same adobe products on a Windows laptop. Just ask him what PC specifications you need (Ex. How much RAM how big of a hard drive etc.) But id personally suggest getting about 8 GB of RAM as you can store After Effects work on the RAM and be able to pull it up faster than if it was stored on the Hard Drive. When dealing with video editing more RAM is better.
