I’m a 9 too, and I also only got burgers as my teammates, but I went flawless with them. It’s almost as if your guardian rank doesn’t mean anything… We are both 9s and i’m better, just like there are 5s who are the best PvP players in the game.

People are quick to tell everyone to just LFG dual destiny so I can only recommend doing the same here. Find some equal skill teammates on LFG.

Just don't play trials. Let it die. There is nothing in there that u can't get elsewhere. Nothing worth chasing and it feels terrible.

If you expect to do well solo in a 3v3 competitive playlist, you need to be well above average. My biggest tips for solo trials is this. 1- Attitude. You can lose the match round 1 if you have a sour attitude. Both your teammates died instantly round 1? Cool no big deal, stay with them and try to keep them alive or get clean up kills off their engagements. Don’t just zone out and do your own thing. Watch what they are doing, try to push together etc. and capitalize with them. 2- Giving up. Stop looking at teams guardian ranks or how many times they have been flawless and thinking you can’t beat them. You can beat them. You won’t win them all, but you will surprise yourself and beat some really good teams if you stop defeating yourself before the games even start. 3- Passage of Ferocity. IMO this is the best passage for solo players. The matchmaking will screw you sometimes, it is what it is. BUT if you have a good attitude and you don’t give up, you will easily get your 3 wins and then eventually get your 4 wins. Don’t reset your card once you get flawless and keep farming for adepts. 4- Loadouts. Don’t be stuck to a certain loadout. The maps change every week. What worked for you one week may not the next. If you are getting dominated close range, throw on a shotgun and a pulse rifle to keep them back and punish them when they get close. Or vice versa if everyone is clapping you with pulses put on a smg and hand cannon and ape them. Teams play best when they are comfortable, so make them uncomfortable. There’s winners and there’s losers. The choice is yours to decide which one you want to be.

Guardian rank is not related to PvP skill in any way. Some of the best PvP players are barely a rank 7, it means nothing relating to skill.

Only solution would be the old ”flawless pool” system. People could not match with players who went to flawless after sunday reset. When they introduced this system so many players were able to get to flawless for the first time. But Bungie listens to only streamers etc

A lot of the good players just don’t bother with the pve stuff to renew the rank so as long as they are like rank 6 they prolly aren’t a new light. A lot of the rank 11s are good pve players so they would have good knowledge of the game but they still might not be the most adept at PvP but some skills would carry over.

This again?? Every week you people complain about Trials match making 🥱 it's all so very boring.

If you’ve only won 20% of your games I have some bad news for you… I don’t think the problem is your teammates.

Relax. Guardian rank means nothing. At all. If you’re losing a bunch in Trials it’s because your skill level is much below the average that was currently playing during your session. That’s all there is to it. When it’s going like that, take a break and try again another time. You’re here complaining because you aren’t being hand fed wins. Take a step back for a bit.

Yeah for real MM seems wonky this week admittedly I started playing at 1970 so I was off to a bad start but everytime I get past 3 wins I get TWO 1960 on my team 🎒 like I was already at a disadvantage bcos my light lvl is lower then most.
