Seems like most of the recent season have started out with things being tougher until we get buffer. Makes sense if you think about it. And it lets people experience a similar feeling of power progression in certain parts of the game, so those people that play all day won't be miles ahead of everyone by the end of the week in terms of power. It could be "elitist" the other way as well. Now you don't have to deal with teammate power mismatches.

  • But isn't that the point of having different tiers where you stretch your capabilities while still allowing for achieving a power level where you get strong enough to face the enemies in that tier? And yes, I do understand that using a robust offering is like queuing up master tier, but still it needs to be achievable and the way to achieve top tier activities in the past for many of us has been to keep grinding out your power level. I get your point about elitists quickly grinding out their power level and thereby being ahead of others who don't want to make the same time commitment, but I think that capping your power level so that you never get strong enough to match the enemies is not the way to solve that problem.

    I have to honest, I haven't played as much as maybe I should have to be having an opinion on this, but when I did play the power capped stuff the first season it came out it definitely felt like it got easier as the season went on even outside of the buffs and stuff. Could have just been placebo effect though. I totally get what you're saying with respect to feeling like the carrot is always just out of reach and why that would be a good way to run the mode. The problem before was that the seasonal stuff had started feeling too trivial for a lot of people in terms of gameplay. From what I have played it feels pretty nice having to concentrate somewhat when you first start playing.
