Power level disabled is garbage
Having your guardian's power level capped for any activity is the worst decision Bungie has ever made with this game, but especially this season with Altars of Summoning where every enemy will melt you with one shot. It completely negates the purpose of getting experience at all. Why even have power level in the game if most of the activities don't care about it? My matchmade fireteam did a robust offering and we were all down literally the whole time and we couldn't even revive each other without getting demolished by ads.
Please stop listening to the 1% who play this game 10 hrs a day on PC and then complain that the game is too easy. It's too easy for them because they spend their entire waking life perfecting their gameplay. Meanwhile, those of us who want to enjoy the game and have some challenge but not be overwhelmed are left out high and dry.

3 RespostasThis is what the casual players wanted. Lower bar to enter and a horde mode. Altar of summoning is exactly that. If you can't handle tier 3, that is entirely on you and your team. Rework your loadouts and learn to play the objective. Drop the roaming supers.

If you go in with a team, or spawn a fresh instance there's a boon in the beginning... there will be 3 symbols that match, only 3 of those particular symbol... have everyone activate one. 2. Don't waste your powerful offerings with randoms. I can carry 3 or solo robust, but tier 3 w attrition is rough. I have completed tier 3s w randoms but I've stopped using my offerings. Once people have decks built, it should get better.

1 ResponderPower has never mattered anyway except when it hinders you so I don't see the difference. Bungie has never been able to get the power system like it should be

4 RespostasYeah. I didn't even complete the Light Fall campain. So, unless they provide a future option with more content for casual players, then this is probably the end of the road for me. In the reveal, it sounded like a lot of content was going to be gated behind the completion of the campain. For that reason alone, I think the Final Shape is scratched off my shopping list.

Most people don’t have cards active and they all are really strong. The one time I had a guy in my group with a full set was basically infinite heavy… Also if you’re talking about todays, Attrition is active and basically forces you to run a high health regen build. Makes it feel more oppressive than it is

1 ResponderI dont find it that bad(except for the screeb one. -blam!- that one. Right in the butt) I did get smacked around a lot when I first got into it yesterday though. I also dont have any cards going atm so I assume things will get easier when I do.

2 RespostasSeems like most of the recent season have started out with things being tougher until we get buffer. Makes sense if you think about it. And it lets people experience a similar feeling of power progression in certain parts of the game, so those people that play all day won't be miles ahead of everyone by the end of the week in terms of power. It could be "elitist" the other way as well. Now you don't have to deal with teammate power mismatches.
