Working as attended,
It's funny how they changed things convincing the fans as usual that they "improved the game" that most fell for when all they did was look for ways as they always do and have for years now around the problem they caused, and that is having most of you doing absolutely nothing at all but run on a hamster-wheel.
This change only showed the lack of talent this business has in keeping players engaged in the content they designed which is very poor quality work vs most other gaming businesses out to date. It's 2023 and they are still living in the past as if it's 2001. This outdated business needs to be removed from this game.

The cap and chasing "power engrams" was just a filler to keep you running on that wheel, nothing else, and now a lot of the players can see the truth about the lack of effort put into this game that has been this way for far too many yours.

You know you can ask for a change in a game without badgering some random for doing their job, right? What kind of grind would you prefer? Because D1 was NOT like D2 in the same grind. We didn't even HAVE pinnacle spots, we had, "play the game". That's what we had. Not to mention Exotic focusing wasn't even a thing, let alone Build Crafting entirely. You had an exotic? You used it. end of build. Most of the stats you had barely mattered in the end game because all you needed to do was outkill anything that moved. So. What kind of grind would you prefer?

Remove multiple limits like powerful and pinnacle, let everyone reach the limit even with blues. Nothing to separate "endgame player"? Fine, add higher power gear on "endgame". There, no RNG nonsense wasting your time on duplicates and incentive to do high level activity

But see, that's the problem. That's how it used to be with D1. You played the game and ANY drop had the chance to give you a light upgrade. Even greens. But I think I see the point you're making, where ANY activity can give you an upgrade between 1 and 5 and instead of target farming one specific activity every week, you could do whatever you wanted. I like this idea.

They change it because it doesn't extend the time compared to pinnacle bs. Just take a look at see how many stuff being reskin and they ask you money for the same thing in different coat of paint

And why does the community asking for it if not because of sunsetting? They still reissue stuff even without being asked and the worse part is, they actually reskin the same old weapon as a paid content drop like rapacious appetite being bug-out bag but with taken shader

And yet, after all this time, EVEN after they explained the reason behind sunsetting, do you all continue to bring it up whenever they try to give us these things back. Would you prefer that Destiny be akin to CoD with upwards of a 100Gb download? Taking several hours, upon hours, upon hours to simply PLAY the game after being away from it? Would you prefer larger sized updates along with more game issues that are caused when a system can't handle what it's given? It's always shocking to me that this needs to be explained, like Bungie should release a monthly reminder as to WHY they sun-set content in the first place. It was never meant to re-sell the same content later, it was because if they didn't remove content that wasn't being played in the first place, the game would've been in more trouble than it actually is now. It's one thing to constantly update and fix small scale stuff, could you imagine the time it would take to fix bugs with ALL the content we have now STAYING in the game??

Why did they insist using their outdated tiger engine then if they know the engine can't handle it? Or why didn't they make a new engine and porting the game to the new engine? This game in how it's designed is years behind development, which is just wrong, especially overpricing a game as they do for their very poor work ethics, and have the balls to tell the fans we don't care about quality work, that they rather just pump out cheap lazy crap, and that they don't want to "overdeliver" because you as a fan can't handle it", really??? you may be fooled by this BS, but I'm not and never will be because of the lack of effort they put into the game 16 years later with 2 games literally showing it. Basic things in gaming take years just for this business to add to the game. A decade later and they add fishing, is this joke knowing they applied their copy-and-paste development to it?

Of course it takes longer. Because they have to make it FUN. All of the fish names are related to guns or some other piece of gear. Fishing can be played WITHOUT bait. ITS FREE CONTENT. And you can get FREE exotics from it. I got one the other day infact. As for overdelivering, you already know why they don't want to try and "over deliver" anymore. Go look at the forums. 90% of it is JUST toxic ranting and barely anything genuinely helpful to help the game. So let me ask you thing. What genuine change, would you like to see in Destiny? I for one would love to see the return of the Season of Opulence card, where we could choose what our next drop would be. It would be nice to target farm a pinnacle Class item from other activities if I so choose.

People seem to think the amount of content makes a game, and that is just flawed logic seeing how their seasons are literally trash content thrown away. No, it's the quality of the content that makes a game no matter how little of it is offered. Looking at this game it has a lot of content, but 90% of it especially their destinations are literally barebone content, and the only thing they added 10 years later was fishing. Taking time as you said to make something "fun" and waiting 10 years later to do what's been in gaming for 20 years? there is a huge difference between what you see as fun vs using cheap filler content, and that is the only reason it was added because it doesn't belong in the game. It's all just the same basic development, nothing unique about it. They haven't really done anything in years other than use ideas from other games many years too late Grappling hook anyone???
