Yeah, I'm having the same issue. I also think it's weird that it wasn't addressed in the TWAB or something. A warning would've been nice. I can't even play with my little brother now.

As pointed out REPEATEDLY game share is a platform feature and nothing to do with Bungie. No game studio has anything to do with game share no matter the platform.

Xbox Ambassador Onyx is Here said: "Bungie does not allow sharing so if it does work with others it's more a lucky coincidence." This "loophole" was possible until the latest patch from Bungie. To say it has nothing to do with Bungie is absurd. But I can understand why it was done. A notice would have been nice though. Now excuse me while I go sink more money into this franchise.

Haha I was the one that made that Microsoft forum post. I just got a reply from a guy saying that through Microsoft, he can still share games like Forza Horizon 5 just fine, including all their DLC. This is entirely on Bungie's end.

Hi there! Forza Horizon 5 is an XBOX Play Anywhere title, which allows you to access the DLC from any platform under Microsoft's allowed platform list to access that content. Destiny 2 and the related DLC are not Play Anywhere titles.
