If it is like Vex Offensive (kill two laughably small waves, destroy two waves of crystals, kill big boss), then I can already see the complaints.
If it is like Sundial (large enemy density while also focused on objectives the whole time), then sure, a good portion of people will say it’s nice for a time.
If it is like Menagerie (straight up mechanics with almost no enemy density) people will legit complain. People liked Menagerie for the loot.
If it is like Battlegrounds (two giant waves of enemies with a long boss battle), then people will complain even more.
The perfect formula we need here:
Two giant waves of enemies with an objective revolving around banking (as we’ve seen in the trailer, and so the mechanic revolves around kills)
One Battlegrounds level boss battle (because we have six people, it goes by a lot quicker)
Menagerie-style focusing on loot

Be fair. Vex Offensive wasn't the worst. The guns were very solid and 6 players made it a chaotic yet simple activity you could grind through while turning your brain off. Seraph Towers was by far the most awful seasonal activity. You KNOW when Bungie has to rig a community event because the playerbase simply wasn't willing to grind the things, they messed up. I'd also rank VO above Battlegrounds. Way less tedious to grind.
-
There is no perfect formula. People will complain no matter what Bungie does. There is no one version of this game that will please everyone.
-
This is just a question so please, just dont be toxic and anyone can reply to this. Why does everything needs to be challenging or a grind or something that makes you think and test your skills. Why not just a fun activity , shoot some shii up and get loot. I feel most devs these days, try so hard to make their games a job, or a grind fest or a challenge. Dont get me wrong I just like the next person dont mind challenges or some grind, but it feels like every activity or every thing that drops in destiny always needs to be grindy, or more challenging. Idk I just wish there were activities that didnt revolve too much on challenge or grind and just some good old fashion....fun. I know might sound silly, heck I can sense some players replies already "get another game" "your not good enough for challenge" etc etc. But I ask again, why cant we just have an activity with a decent challenge but revolves around fun most of the time? Guess those streamers and YT wont have nothing to stream about or can carry anyone and make their $$ while freely advertising destiny
-
Maybe make a moshpit out of all those activities but make them better with worthwhile loots. And put them in a playlist like strikes playlist which has various missions. And don't make it too long or too grindy.
-
Vex offensive was better than battlegrounds. That shit sucked
-
u lost most of us when u say no one wants menagerie type mode so to u sir go cry somewhere els
-
That’s you, I’ll still play it.

Like ever. It was a bad idea. People got god rolls too fast. Sundial was a good medium. You could pick a couple of loot to keep getting rolls, but you had to do something to get more (obelisks/season pass leveling).
-
So no matter what, people will complain. Yeah sounds about right lol.
-
The ideal mode ur describing is gambit. Ew.
-
Menagerie was GOOD.
-
If it's Vex Offensive but everything is actually TRON, I'd still enjoy it.
-
Editado por Niinja Slayer: 5/10/2021 5:09:16 PMVex Offensive, minus the final boss, was actually a pretty decent activity. If you don’t want it, then go have fun in PvP 😂
-
Man Bungie can't get gambit to function properly.......and you want them to do more spank and bank? Give me proving grounds levels of enemies. With escalating toughness on bosses that spawn. (up to 3 an yeah I plucked that number out of thin air). Targetable loot (within reason or you risk problems).
-
I don't think there is a set formula honestly. People get bored and want variety. Bungie needs to up their game with their seasonal events. They all have been super boring after just a few runs. These seasonal events are temporary Bungie, they have built-in sunsetting, don't be afraid to try new stuff in there and let us be powerful. So tired of stand in a circle or throw a ball.
-
I liked Vex Offensive actually. Ya, maybe some parts could have had more enemy density. Boss fights were fun because you were trying to max dps with randos it was always a challenge to coordinate
-
Honestly I couldn’t really care, the only thing I care about is shooting stuff. Point made.
-
No ball throwing. Enough with that mechanic Bungie.
-
tbh im in it for the guns, the sandbox is really dry so im fine either way.
-
than don't play it

It’s going to be fun, then boring. In that order.
-
But then they hit you with a curveball and make it like the Seraph Tower events.
-
Like every single one of them, they all get old really fast.
-
Hey, atleast pve gets content.

Menagerie had it all. Literally one of the best things to ever happen to destiny. I don't know what you're smoking. Their were a boat load of enemies for some of the parts.
