There is no way to transfer the license from one platform to another or exchange the code meant for one platform to one meant for another. You can try to request a full refund and return your Collector's Edition to the retailer you purchased from and try to get it for Steam instead, but there's no guarantees that there will be any copies left considering the update begins today. Along with that, since you received a digital code for it, most retailers will not accept refunds or exchanges as there's no way to check if the code was used or not outside of using the code (which would then use the code).

  • I apologise, I am just terribly anxious and the process for the whole thing had me a little confused initially, and with a poor ability to process everything as emails were delayed. I've been busy grinding out the last of the seals, but Ill do as you mentioned in the other reply, I can only hope it will be sorted. I apologise again, and I genuinely appreciate your time Mentor, see you starside.

  • I tried to get help for this earlier but it appeared I confused the individual so I added more detail this time. But you can only get the collectors edition from the Bungie Store, which naturally they wouldn't have any replacement copies which would be excessive to have to return an entire physical product, I am merely requesting to exchange a code I received in my email. And you can check whether or not the file has been opened as you are given 7 opportunities to check it and then claim your code, to which I have not touched. I wanted to get this sorted earlier but wasn't sure exactly how to go about doing so.

  • Your only option would be to use the contact email as given for the BungieStore Customer Service to see if you can get the code exchanged. There's nothing that anyone here on the forums can really do to help you with it outside of just pointing you to contact the retailer, which in your instance, was the Bungie Store Customer Service. You're just wanting to exchange your DLC code from a Microsoft Xbox code to a Valve Steam code, so it's probably best to simply explain that as simple as that when requesting assistance. It is unfortunate that you waited until just before release to decide to switch platforms as earlier would have given a better chance to make the exchange, but you can still try.
