So I was on my way to Nessus (had already clicked on the waypoint and everything, my ship was just beginning the animation of going there) when I decided to swap exotics. I went to equip my legendary boots in replacement of my Orpheus Rig, and the boots just disappeared from my inventory. I did not press my dismantle keybind, and I got no shards when they disappeared, so they literally just went into thin air. I doubt I'll get the item restored because game companies don't usually do that, but for anyone reading this, be warned that if you plan on swapping gear, do it before you begin the animation of flying over to a new location. Something must happen where the data is lost while connecting to the server or something. [edit: the armor returned to my vault, so I did not permanently lose it, thankfully]
