Sbmm needs to go from at least 50% of modes if pvp is to survive and keep players during this long pve content draught

SBMM saved crucible and actually made it playable for most of us. Blame Bungie for not giving the sweats an incentive to stay in comp
-
Haunter and his friend fail to understand the basic point. CBMM is in Classic Mix and most players avoid the playlist because all it did was allow the higher end players to stomp the lower end players. The lower end players left the playlist as a result. If CBMM was anywhere near as popular as they claim Classic Mix would be the most populated playlist.

That's a complete joke, sbmm has ruined pvp in every instance it's been tried. 90% of pvp modes shouldn't be catering to the bottom 50% of players
-
Quick play was borderline unplayable for me during SoO. Everywhere I turned it was Recluse, Revoker, and Luna’s Howl. The only time I had fun in Crucible that season was during Iron Banner. I don’t blame the sweats, there was little incentive for them to stay in comp once they got their pinnacles, so they didn’t. But their pub-stomping was ruining it for the rest of us.

That's 4/5 modes with sbmm
I don’t blame the sweats, there was little incentive for them to stay in comp once they got their pinnacles, so they didn’t. But their pub-stomping was ruining it for the rest of us.
And right now no casual pvp is killing pvp for the rest of us in the upper half. Which is why a 50/50 split is acceptable. But not this 90/10 we have now
-
Most of the weekly rotators suck. And I don’t like playing comp.
-
So basically 4/5 modes werent enough. Comprise is necessary. A minimum of 50% of modes should be cbmm - especially social modes like control
-
This is not a divorce, we don’t have to divide our assets. I understand why sweats don’t like SBMM, but it’s not my fault Bungie is too cheap to invest in dedicated servers or give us options to choose what we want like in other games or figure out how to reward sweats for staying in there lane
-
Yes when half the population prefer something one way and half the other you split it. How about instead we convert all playlist to cbmm besides 1 hidden in a corner? Sounds like a great idea to me, if you can't compromise you'll end up losing it all, thank god trials is at least normalized mm
-
And Bungie is still having the same problems with Trials, there’s little incentive to go flawless so sweats farm rolls during the opening matches.
-
Thats because of the incentive not the matchmaking. Trials has always had the same matchmaking and it suceeded in D1.
-
That’s the point I was trying to make. Instead of offering greater incentives to sweats to stay in their lane they used SBMM as a bandaid
-
Trials dosent have SBMM
-
No, but it does have the same incentive problem that comp had in year 2
-
The only that would do is kill off half the modes in the Crucible... Ritual weapons, a vendor refresh from Shaxx or even offer Ascendant materials for resetting Valor or reaching ranks in Survival any of these things would do more to get players into the playlist.
-
The only that would do is kill off half the modes in the Crucible...
No, it wouldnt, it would save pvp, we dont need 90% of mode catering to the bottom 50%
-
How would allowing higher tier players to stomp lower tier players save Crucible?
-
How is it stomping when CBMM will literally put you against any player. All it does is give you a wider pool of players to play of?
-
What do you think happens when you mix players of wide skill ranges together?
-
You get fun matches?
-
Fun for who?
-
A good portion of the players?
-
So why not play classic mix. Its CBMM...
-
Because the team balancing is rigged? And why should like 90% of the playlist cater those who never play PvP? Those extremely bad players? Why cant we have an even split for a SBMM mode and a CBMM mode without rigging the teams?
-
What do you mean the matchmaking is rigged in Classic Mix?
